Eva Marcille, winner of the third cycle of America's Next Top Model, opened up to Soapcentral.com about her new character on The Young and the Restless.

"My character's name is Tyra," Marcille said of the role that debuted on June 25. "I had a daughter as a very young age. We're from Seattle and I kind of fell on hard times and now I've moved to Genoa City, where my only family is Devon. I come there trying to seek refuge… and there's drama."

Based on rumors and spoilers, Tyra sounds like a potential love interest for Neil Winters. However, at last check, Neil already had a girlfriend. So, does that mean Marcille's alter ego is a homewrecker?

Not according to Eva: "She's a good girl at heart!"

On the July 23 episode of The Young and the Restless, Daniel and Amber seek help from an attention whore posing as a professional psychologist: Dr. Drew Pinsky!

As fans of the show know, Amber went crazy after seeing a photo of Daniel partying with a groupie in Dublin. As a result of this conflict, she bedded Adrian Korbel.

Eventually, this all leads to Amber being dumped... which subsequently leads to a call to Dr. Drew. Don't hold your breath for him to actually help, though, Amber.

Dr. Drew will do anything for attention. He'll appear on The Young and the Restless in late July.

The sultry, sexy Joshua Morrow sat down with TV Guide Canada for a recent interview. He discussed fan reaction to recent The Young and the Restless story lines.

Here are excerpts from the conversation:

TV Guide: Are you still shocked over the insane fan reaction to Nick and Phyllis’ romantic pairing?
Joshua Morrow: I am totally surprised, and still shocked. Soap fans generally don’t like a lot of change. Sharon and Nick were this "Romeo and Juliet" story. I thought it was going to be a hard pill for fans to swallow. When they first began talking about Nick and Phyllis, I asked the writers: ‘Are you sure?; I’m not feeling it.’

But they said they liked our energy, chemistry and the shock value associated with the pairing. I went into the story very skeptical, but was immediately blown away by the level of chemistry we shared. It was very easy. I was nervous though — Michelle Stafford [Phyllis] is this very big, dynamic actress.

Dude — the way they told that story was genius by showing Michelle’s vulnerable side, and then the fans went wild — they love Nick and Phyllis, let me tell you. I would’ve lost that bet, for sure!

TVG: I thought Nick and Sharon would be married forever!
JM: So did I! Sharon and Nick were this super-couple starter kit. They’d be together forever, experience a few hiccups and get back together — that was the drill. But Nick and Phyllis have proven they are a force to be reckoned with. It’s been a hell of a ride working with ‘The Stafford,’ as I like to refer to her. [laughs]

It’s a beautiful story because Phyllis saved Nick’s life; she made him smile again.

Here's a sneak peak at what's to come...

• The old feud between Jack (Peter Bergman) and Victor is going to heat up this summer. Reportedly, Sabrina’s ex-lover from Paris (Phillipe) will team up to bust the new Mrs. Newman on her past. Not hard to see how this could put a serious strain on the marriage.

• After failing to get information from Nikki about her marriage, Victor goes to private investigator Paul for some answers.

• Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) makes Cane think they had sex. (Let's just say alcohol is involved.)

• Amber and Colleen butt heads over Professor Korbel.

• Jeff and Gloria plot to take over Jabot.

Vincent Irizarry is leaving his role as David Chow on The Young and the Restless.

No word yet on the reasons behind the split, nor on Irizarry's future as an actor.

Perhaps he'll show up on Guiding Light as former character Nick McHenry. We'll let you know more when we learn it.

• Laura Stone returns to The Young and the Restlessas Skye, Adam's (Chris Engen) former flame and card hustler; she'll make her way back into his life July 7 and 8.

• Kathy Hilton, meanwhile, will reprises her role of herself on the July 8 The Young and the Restless.

• Jeff and Gloria elope to Las Vegas.

• Neil (Kristoff St. John, pictured) becomes suspicious of Tyra’s past.

• Victor is furious that Adam has continued his relationship with Heather.

• Phyllis schemes to break up Amber (Adrienne Frantz) and Daniel.

A handful of stars from the The Young and the Restless will gather at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia On Saturday, July 12.
