Hunter Tylo Talks The Bold and the Beautiful Story Line

Hunter Tylo recently spoke to Michael Fairman about her current story line on The Bold and the Beautiful. Here's an excerpt from that interview:

Q: In your current The Bold and the Beautiful storyline, Taylor is involved in her first younger man/older woman romance with Rick Forrester. How do you feel about the subject? And how did you feel about tackling this type of relationship on-screen?

A: You could be 30 and dating 20-year-olds, as long as you are over 18, that’s what is important. When I got my divorce, my husband, Michael Tylo, was 15 years older than me. I had been married to my husband for 18 years and when we got divorced I knew I would be dating again. I had always dated older men when I was younger, and with my ex-husband, he was into the fifties music and we just blended our musical preferences.

I had my thing with music in the 70’s, and here I am listening to Jim Hendrix, and he was listening to Buddy Holly. So, it was always like a ‘Clash of the Titans’. I did try to date men around his age range. I think women take good care of themselves these days. I noticed that the kind of things I like to do are still pretty energetic things.

At that age, most guys are ready to chill-out, and it’s the guy in his cave who just sits and watches football and just chills. I am still pretty energetic.

By chance, I met a young man who was four years older than my son, and he was running lines for me. (Sometimes I hire actors to do that.) This young man was very cute, and it’s nice to see a young man quite taken by you. You go, “Oh wow! I’ve still got something… OK!”

John McCook Spills Bold and Beautiful Spoiler Beans

On today's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful, Eric lands in the hospital. The demise takes place after a particularly vicious battle with his kids... and intense sex with his new young wife, of course.

"Eric has a heart attack," John McCook, who plays the Forrester patriarch, told The New York Daily News. "After some intimacy, sweet Donna is talking to him and he doesn't respond."

Donna calls 911 after the incident, as paramedics rush Eric to the hospital. Bridget orders tests, and the family gathers at his bedside.

Eric Forrester

"What's scary about this is that it coincides with Ridge and the Forrester progeny trying to take over the company and let Eric go," said McCook.

By the end of next week on the show - spoiler alert! - Donna finds papers that prove she has Eric's power of attorney, and she won't let Ridge take over his company while he's incapacitated. Ridge, in response, vows to bring Donna down.

"It's a scary time," teases McCook.

William deVry to Return to The Bold and the Beautiful

Granted, the character of Storm may have killed himself in order to give his heart to sister Katie, but that apparently won’t prevent William deVry from appearing up again on The Bold and the Beautiful.

It's been confirmed that the actor will reprise the role of the deceased Logan on August 5 and 6. How is this possible, considering he's dead and all?

Tune in. Find out.

Robin Riker Speaks on The Bold and the Beautiful

Robin Riker stepped into the role of Beth Logan on June 18.

A week before that, the actress sat down with Soap Opera Weekly to discuss the show:

Soap Opera Weekly: How are you enjoying the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful?
Robin Riker: Everybody's been so welcoming. My first day that I arrived, I wasn't even working, I was just showing up to meet the-powers-that-be. John McCook (Eric), who wasn't even working that day — I think he was dropping off some paperwork — came in to show me around and introduce me to people. He spent a good hour chatting and welcoming me.

New to The Bold and the Beautiful: Robin Riker.

Weekly: How did you end up getting the part of Beth?
Riker: It was very fun the way I got the part. I was living in New York and doing theater, and I got a call saying that Brad Bell (B&B's executive producer and head writer) was interested in meeting with me for this role. Never having done much soap opera before, I wondered what it would be like, but I was unable to come back [to L.A.] right away.

This was on a Monday, and on Tuesday, my friend had taken me to a ball game. I took out my cell phone to take pictures of the diamond to send to my husband, and I saw that there were two urgent calls from my agent. I had to leave the stands to talk, and the only place that I could find any quiet was in the ladies' room. They said that Brad wanted to talk to me, and I said, "Well, I'm in the ladies' room at Yankee Stadium if he wants to give me a call." (Laughs.)

Two minutes later, the phone rang and Brad said, "I understand we're having a conversation in a funny place," and I said, "Yes." He said, "Do you want me to call you tomorrow?" and I said, "No, I rather dig it that we're talking in the ladies' room at Yankee Stadium!" So we had a 20-minute conversation. I made my very first deal for the one of the very first series I ever did on a pay phone in a coffee shop, so it seemed [to be] in the right realm for me.
