CBS.com: How does it feel to be nominated?
BRADLEY BELL: Oh, it's very nice. It's wonderful. It's always a treat to be nominated.

CBS.com: What are some standout moments from last year for you?
BRADLEY BELL: I think the shows surrounding Brooke's rape were excellent. Episode 5,000 in and of itself I thought was very special for us.

CBS.com: The current storyline with Storm and Katie has been amazing. How have you been feeling about how it's playing out?
BRADLEY BELL: I've been thrilled. It's exceeded my expectations. We worked really hard on these weeks of shows and Heather Tom, Jennifer Gareis, the Logan girls, Patrick Duffy coming in, Katherine Kelly Lang, William deVry - everyone has been sensational, production has been right on it. I just couldn't be more thrilled. This is really what we try to do.

Brandon Beemer is headed to The Bold and the Beautiful. He knows that much.

But don't ask the actor about what role he's taking on. Unless you want a blank stare for an answer.

"It's a little strange not knowing who I'm going to play, — I would like to get prepared," Beemer, who recently excited the role of Shawn Brady on Days of Our Lives, said to Soap Opera Digest.

Brandon does know he begins work on The Bold and the Beautiful in July, adding: "I'm really excited about playing somebody completely different from Shawn."

Coming up this week on The Bold and the Beautiful...

• Eric makes a dangerous deal with his family.

• Nick helps Katie (Heather Tom) conquer her fear.

• Donna reminisces about her past and the stranger that has come to visit.

• The tables turn on Phoebe (MacKenzie Mauzy, pictured) when she plans a surprise for Taylor.

Typically, soap operas stay away from suicide.

But The Bold and the Beautiful went there on April 28, when Storm Logan (William deVry, pictured) blew his brains out so his heart could be donated to his dying sister, Katie (Heather Tom). Talk about generous!

"It was a hard decision, but the aftermath of Storm's death is some of the finest work we've ever done," said The Bold and the Beautiful executive producer Brad Bell to TV Guide. "It's a decision I don't regret."

Naturally, Storm's siblings consider his actions heroic; all except for Katie, that is.

"She's furious that he sacrificed his life for her," Tom said. "They wrote an incredible fantasy scene [airing May 14] where Katie actually confronts Storm. Usually, when the living talk to the dead on soaps, it's touchy-feely. This is a big, horrible argument."

One Life to Live dealt with suicide in 2003, when Keri leapt from a roof, but that was only revealed in court well after her death. The Bold and the Beautiful  hit it head-on, which worried Tom.

"It's dangerous to find any glory or honor in suicide, but the writers have allowed it to be ugly," she said. "They gave it the weight it deserves."

• Ridge's (Ronn Moss, pictured) attitude towards Brooke's family could cost him his relationship.

• Katie (Heather Tom) tries to her best to change the past.

Don't get too excited, Eric and Donna fans!

This union has trouble written all over it, and that's just on the day these two tie the knot. As TV Guide reports, after the "I do's" this Friday, we will learn that the bride has a secret past she hasn't shared with her new hubby.

"When Donna was 16, she had a baby and gave it up for adoption," says The Bold and the Beautiful chief Brad Bell. "The identity of the dad, who is black, is going to remain a mystery for a while."

The product of that union — a young man named Marcus — will soon arrive in L.A. in search of Donna. The role will be played by Texas Battle. And, yes, Bell plans to play the race card a bit.

When Marcus first shows up at Eric and Donna's mansion, she assumes that he's with the staff and sends him to the kitchen. That's always embarrassing.

Without giving too much away, here's what fans can look forward to next week on The Bold and the Beautiful...

• Nick agrees to give his relationship with Bridget another try.

• Katie discovers that Storm left Los Angeles because of her.

• With Rick as his best man, Eric marries Donna (Jennifer Gareis, pictured).

William deVry's charcter of Storm committed suicide recently on The Bold and the Beautiful. He recently spoke to Hello Magazine about the experience.

"I love everyone I’ve worked with on the show," deVry said. "The Bold and the Beautiful has one of the most talented casts in daytime television."

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Brandon Beemer (formerly Shawn on Days of Our Lives) has been cast on The Bold and the Beautiful.

The soap stud will play a new role on the show which has not yet been announced. But we'll be sure to share more information when we have it!
