Michael Tylo Laid to Rest; The Bold and the Beautiful Cast Says Goodbye

Hunter Tylo PicMichael Tylo was remembered Friday by more than 200 family and friends at a Los Angeles memorial.

"He liked to make me laugh," Hunter Tylo told mourners at the Church of the Hills at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. "He had a beautiful spirit."

The Bold and the Beautiful actress also remembered the sensitive side of her son, who was known as Mickey and tragically drowned last week.

"He could identify people who were wounded and hurt," she said and People magazine reported. "There was a young girl in our neighborhood who was crippled and she used to take a walk at the same time each day and Michael would wait outside everyday just to say hi to her."

Many of the cast and crew of The Bold and the Beautiful were in attendance, including executive producer Brad Bell and actors Susan Flannery, Jennifer Gareis, Katherine Kelly Lang and John McCook.

The set of the soap was shut down for the day.

Stephanie Rivero Speaks on Death of Michael Tylo

Michael Tylo and Stephanie RiveroWe have a follow-up to the tragic story involving the son of Hunter Tylo.

The day he died, Michael Tylo Jr. was in town to visit his girlfriend, Stephanie Rivero and take one last high school exam.

However, by 11:55 that night, Michael was pronounced dead after his fully clothed body was found in the backyard swimming pool. The cause of death? Accidental drowning following a seizure.

"The last time I heard his voice was Thursday [October 18] around 6 a.m.,” Rivero said to Us Weekly. "I was going to come over, but he told me he was tossing and turning all night. He couldn’t sleep, and when he doesn’t sleep, he gets seizures. I told him I’d call him in an hour. He said, ‘I love you.’ And I said, ‘I love you too."

Sadly, these two never saw each other. As she relayed to the magazine, Rivero remembers Michael’s sense of humor most of all.

“He was full of life and so funny. He didn’t even have to try. He just was.”

The Bold and the Beautiful Producer: Expect a Shocker

imgservlet.jpgAs Patrick Duffy returns to The Bold and the Beautiful as Stephen Logan, he's in for an interesting set of family dynamics. To say the least.

"The Logan clan is being horribly abused by Stephanie Forrester [Susan Flannery] and Donna wants her father to stir the pot," Brad Bell said to TV Guide.

Stephen has no idea that his eldest daughter, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), was recently raped or that sicko Stephanie had a hand in it. Therefore, expect fireworks.

"For years this family has been ashamed to be Logans," Bell said. "Now they're going to rise up proudly and combat this oppressive woman."

Can we safely assume it's Stephanie who takes the bullet? Bell is mum except to note: "It's a shocker."

The Bold and the Beautiful Prepares for Return of Susan Flannery

As reported earlier, Susan Flannery is set to bring back the character of Stephanie on Friday's episode of The Bold and the Beautiful.

The Bold and the Beautiful

But she'll be returning to a storm within the current story lines. Guest star Betty White will reprise her role as the Douglas matriarch, as Susan deals with the fall out from her involvement in Brooke's (Katherine Kelly Lang) rape.

Her actions, as well as her rather long absence, have driven the wedge between her and Eric (John McCook) even deeper.

Tune in all of next week, fans of The Bold and the Beautiful, to see how it all plays out!

John McCook Dishes on The Bold and the Beautiful Story Line

When Stephanie is away, Eric will play.

In a recent interview with Soap Opera Weekly, John McCook discusses the controversial angle on The Bold and the Beautiful that has him and Donna getting involved in a relationship.

John McCook PhotoSoap Opera Weekly: Eric and Donna's pairing came as a surprise, albeit a most pleasant one!
John McCook: We'll see how it turns out. I've had a real re-energizing of Eric. It goes way beyond a sexual relationship. She's fun, and he's actually enjoying himself. He wasn't really in touch with the reality that there was something huge missing in his life besides a warm bed. We keep trying to minimize that, because I don't want Eric to be perceived as just...[out for] sex.

Jennifer Gareis, who plays Donna, has also been very wary of playing "the sex kitten and the older guy." Bottom line is, it's going to be written that way, anyway. [But] we want to make this a different relationship. So far, it seems to be going all right.

Weekly: It started off with some nice subtlety, especially those scenes at Cafe Russe when Eric was buying Donna drinks.
McCook: It was very important to us to keep that scene above [sex], and for her not to flirt. To have a scene where it's a woman and a man talking about what's going on, rather than her flirting with him and making herself available at the bar — in spite of some of the lines they wrote for her. She played against them, and I was really pleased. Of course, everybody's going to be like, "Oh, my God! What's going to happen?" Still, our job is to try to give it the layers and the weight that are required, rather than laying herself on the bar for him.

Weekly: You mentioned this has re-energized you. How would you characterize Eric? Do you think he has gone through any kind of transformation during Stephanie's absence, with Donna by his side (and in his bed)?
McCook: Absolutely. He's absolutely closed off to Stephanie right now. He's not able to deal with her because she left town. What he is feeling is the freedom and the enjoyment of living his life as an artist, businessman and as a man. He's going through big changes. As an actor, what's happening is that, for 20 years, it's been important for me to leave a lot of who I am out of Eric.

For the first 10 years [I played the] businessman. Not a lot of humor, not a lot of energy, not a lot of joy. Just focusing on the business with Stephanie, keeping everything together and being a moral compass for the children. As a result of that, when I was first playing the part they would say, "No, don't do that, John. Just be the man, just be the father, just be the husband." My sense of humor and my energy was something that I had to omit.

But now I can put more of John into Eric. It's actually kind of hard, because I've worked so hard for 20 years to keep myself out of it. Now, it's fun to open those gates a little bit.
