Susan Lucci Eliminated from Dancing with the Stars

All My Children star Susan Lucci was voted off Dancing with the Stars last night.

As anyone who has followed this actress' career would expect, though, she handled the elimination with nothing but class.

“I feel so much gratitude for the opportunity to have this particular experience in my lifetime. I want to thank all you wonderful audience members here, the fans…and most importantly i need to thank this dancer, this incredible teacher, this incredible man, Tony Dovolani.”

The 10,000th show of All My Children, meanwhile, will air in November. It's providing Susan with a chance to “look back on some of the happy times." Some of her favorite scenes?

The ones that had Erica Kane working as a model in New York City in the 1980s shot at Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan museum.

"All of that comes back to me," she said. "That was so much fun!”

Tony Dovolani Praises Susan Lucci

During a recent interview with BuddyTV, Dancing with the Stars professional Tony Dovolani was asked about partner Susan Lucci.

Here's what he had to say about the All My Children star:

Being partnered with Susan Lucci, I'm a big fan of hers to start with, and then on top of it, to get to dance with her was quite an incredible journey so far. She's such an incredible icon. She's the queen of daytime. And to be as humble as she is and as normal as she is, she's a genuine, genuine person, and I really feel that I'm blessed.

You know, this season, I was blessed with my twins, and then on top of it, I'm dancing with Susan Lucci, and on top of it, I'm in New York, which means I'm home – I get to stay home – I think somebody's looking out for me.

Susan Lucci Quicksteps to a Solid Score

Susan Lucci has more reasons to smile this morning than she did 24 hours ago.

After a disappointing opening number Monday night, the All My Children actress and partner Tony Dovolani earned a solid 22 last night for their Quickstep. It was set to the song "Bei Mir Bist Du Schon."

As far as Dancing with the Stars judges went, Carrie Ann Inaba said Lucci showed vast improvement; Len Goodman thought she did well, but he asked for a bit more oomph from the star; and Bruno Tonioli praised the actress for her grace.
