For example, Kristoff St. John (The Young and the Restless) won more than just the award for Best Supporting Actor; he earned a cute moment with his adorable daughter:

Live from the Daytime Emmys...

A trio of soap stars have been tapped to host SOAPnet's pre-show coverage of the Daytime Emmy Awards, dubbed (aptly enough), as Live from the Daytime Emmys.

Airing next Friday from 6-8 p.m., the special will feature Rebecca Budig (Greenlee, All My Children), Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake, All My Children) and Finola Hughes (Anna, General Hosptial). They'll be joined by Lawrence Zarian from the TV Guide Channel.

Budig and Goldin will juggle red carpet arrival interviews, while Hughes and Zarian keep the focus on fashion. The former pair's co-star, Cameron Mathison, is hosting the actual awards ceremony.

Who will take home trophies this year? Tune in June 20 to find out!

Soap Stars Got Milk

Soap opera actresses from ABC have joined the well-known Got Milk? campaign.

Here's a look at the ad that stars Bobbie Eakes (Krystal, All My Children), Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth, General Hospital) and Kassie DePaiva (Blair, One Life to Live).

Soap Opera Stars Take Hiatus

A pair of soap opera stars are taking the summer off:

- Anthony Geary starts his summer vacation a bit earlier than most of when he takes off until fall next week. His character of Luke bids farewell to General Hospital, as Geary is heading to his house in The Netherlands for a well-earned vacation.

- Michael Graziadei (Daniel, The Young and the Restless), meanwhile, is only off for six week to film a movie, The Reef. He'll come back in July.

Beverlee McKinsey Passes Away

Beverlee McKinsey (ex-Alexandra Spaulding, Guiding Light; ex-Iris Cory Carrington, Another World and Texas) died on May 2. She passed away of complications from a kidney transplant.

Michael Logan, TV Guide's soap columnist, once called McKinsey "…the greatest actress ever to grace daytime drama."

Soap Stars React to Emmy Nominations

A trio of soap opera stars recently reacted to their good fortune of being nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award:

Crystal Chappell Photo

Crystal Chappell (pictured, Guiding Light): It always feels good. There's never a bad feeling when your nominated. It's exciting, I am sort of in the middle of my day when I am driving my kids around, going grocery shopping and paying bills so it's really kind of this surreal thing that is laid in your lap. I am looking forward to June and seeing people and I am so excited that a lot of new people got nominated. It was really kind of exciting. [I submitted]

The second part of Buzz and Olivia's wedding where Olivia is in Company and talking to Jeffrey about their past and the second episode was primarily with Kim Zimmer (Reva). It was Olivia blackmailing Reva to help her with Jeffrey. I thought they were different episodes and told a story, even though it's sort of warped, but it tells a story.

Nicole Forester
(Guiding Light): It feels fantastic. I am super duper excited and I just feel really grateful that people watch my work and like it. We had to submit two episodes so I picked two episodes around the time of Tammy's death. The first one Tammy was in the hospital and Cassie was keeping vigil and then the next one was a couple episodes later, after Tammy died, and it was a really crucial and emotional time in Cassie's life.

Rachel Melvin (Days of Our Lives): So now, I've been nominated. HOLY CRAP!! I still can't stop saying it. That first day was just a flood of congrats and compliments which I am AWFUL at taking, let alone with grace and class, but boy I hope I passed with flying colors. I know I'm an actress and I'm supposed to enjoy the spotlight, but I am really uncomfortable with all the attention.
