On One Life to Live this week, Marcie is free from jail. However, as The New York Daily News reports, but it's not the happy homecoming she's hoping for.

"Marcie thinks that the reason she got out of jail was because Todd got a conscience and doesn't want her to be in any more pain," says Kathy Brier,  pictured, who plays Marcie. "But with Todd, it's probably not heartfelt."

It's not. Todd dropped the charges against Marcie for kidnapping Tommy because her cop brother-in-law, John, blackmailed him into it.

"Marcie doesn't know that," says Brier. "She thinks Todd's being nice. He probably thinks that her having to live in the house where she raised this child, and having to deal with daily reminders of where Tommy lived, is harder than being in jail. I actually think he's right."

With a series of actors leaving various soap operas recently, Trevor St. John felt the need to address rumors that he's one of them. The One Life to Live star has penned the following on his official blog:

"A friend of mine let me know that some people out there are under the impression that I'm leaving the show in April. I wish I knew where these things come from, but I thought I should tell you that this one isn't even a little bit true."

Phew.

Here's a day-by-day analysis of next week's One Life to Live episodes...

February 25: Adriana is convinced by Rex and Layla to accept the job offer in Paris. Meanwhile, Langston (Brittany Underwood, pictured) feels guilty due to his feelings towards Cole.

February 26: Todd drops all charges against Marcie; Jessica is haunted by Allison's secret.

February 27: Rex is surprised to learn that Gigi and Shawne will be remaining in Llanview. John tells Ramsey that he'll be closely monitored.

February 28: Blair is suspicious of Todd's motives for moving to Hawaii; Natalie and Jessica face questions from the cops.

February 29: Jared and Nash (Forbes March) team up to protect Jessica and Natalie from getting into legal trouble.

Carolyn Carns (pictured), of Carlisle, Pennsylvania describes herself as shameless. She's featured in a newspaper article due to her behavior - and success - on Disney's recent Super Soap Opera Weekend...

If her performances seducing All My Children actor Cameron Mathison and ad-libbing with One Life to Live actor Forbes March are any indication, she isn’t far off the mark.

During a trip to Super Soap Opera Weekend at Disney World in November, Carns was picked to participate in “I Wanna Be a Soap Star,” acting alongside the stars of daytime TV for a shot at a walk-on role on an ABC set.

Not only did Carns defeat the competition in the first two rounds, she was named the grand prize winner and will head to New York City and the set of One Life to Live next week.

Hip, hip... Jorge!

New York Yankee catcher Jorge Posada will be guest-starring on One Life to Live in late March. The appearance is part of this year’s 2008 Fantasy Baseball marketing campaign between ESPN and ABC Daytime.

Don't ask us how these two items really tie in, but we are excited that the All-Star catcher will be testing his acting chops on one of our favorite soap operas.

We'll provide more details about Posada's appearance when we learn them.

A new villain is coming to Llanview.

An the character will be be portrayed by none other thanDavid Andrew MacDonald. MacDonald. The actor recently returned to Guiding Light as Edmund Winslow for a short stint, only to now jump networks and join One Life to Live.

We'll have more details as they emerge. But do you think MacDonald is a good addition to One Life to Live?

If you blinked you may have missed singer Mary J. Blige‘s performance near the end of One Life To Live Friday. The good news is she’ll be back tomorrow.

Blige and her real band performed at character Starr Manning’s (Kristen Alderson) sweet 16 birthday party. It was by far the best 2-3 minutes of the otherwise tedious cliffhanger Friday show.

Blige gave an exuberant performance of her song, “Just Fine.” It was the R&B singer’s second time performing on One Life to Live. Her first go around in Llanview was back in 2006.

Incorporating real stars into the fictional world of soap operas can come across as clunky at times (think back to Timbaland’s appearance on One Life to Live last year when he claimed to be a fan of fictional singer Sarah “Flash” Roberts).

I make my living writing soap operas. I love my job. I spend my days writing about women who make a difference - who run corporations and seduce delicious men and raise troublesome but beautiful kids. And all in high heels.

Soap opera writers - or "daytime" writers as we're called in the biz - get paid once a week. Unlike screenwriters, we're "paycheck" writers, living from week to week.

So when our union went out on strike Nov. 5, my husband and I didn't have enough money stashed away to support ourselves, our 15-year-old daughter and two cats for however long it took to settle this strike.

Christmas was grim. My husband and I agreed not to give each other anything. We bought a few things for my daughter. And we played a lot of Scrabble. We cut out restaurants, movies and any fun that cost money.

TV Guide Canada describes John Brotherton as "Llanview’s hottest con man since Tuc Watkins."

The publication recently caught up with the One Life to Live star. Here are highlights from the interview:

TVGuide.ca: Where did you come from? Who the hell is John Brotherton? I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a One Life to Live newcomer since Jessica Tuck [ex-Megan].
John Brotherton: Wow — thank you. I appreciate all your support you’ve given me over the past few months. I’m a Northwestern boy — I’ve lived in Seattle and Portland all my life. I was a business kid all through college, and once I graduated, I jumped in my car and moved to L.A.

Once I got my dream business internship, I realized as much as I was good at what I did in the corporate world, it wasn’t my passion. I was a theatre minor throughout school but it was more of a hobby because everyone in my family are artists. So I thought, why not make my hobby and passion my profession? That was 2003 — I was in L.A. for four years before I got my big break on One Life to Live.

TVG: I love your chemistry with Bree Williamson [Jessica] and Forbes March [Nash] — you guys could be the next Three Musketeers on daytime.
JB: They’re amazing — I hope the show explores that storyline more too. Jared’s one busy guy!
