Days of Our Lives star Kristian Alfonso is one of several, eclectic celebrities that will judge the April 11 Miss USA Pageant.

What prompted Kristian Alfonso to start her own jewelry line?
For years, the actress had been receiving e-mails from fans asking where she gets her jewelry.
"They loved what I was wearing, and they wanted to buy it," the Days of Our Lives star told The Boston Globe. "So my sister and I put our heads together and thought, 'Why don't we give them what they want?'"
Because Alfonso designs much of her own jewelry, she decided to start her own line -"Hope, Faith, Miracles" - which includes many of the same distinctive earrings, bracelets, and necklaces Hope Brady wears on the show. (Alfonso's castmates Julie Pinson, who plays Billie, and Alison Sweeney, who plays Sami, also wear her pieces.)
The actress added that she designs her stuff with ordinary women in mind.
"I know I used to save my jewelry for special occasions," she said "Not anymore. You can wear it to the market... It makes you feel good."
Correction: Kristian Alfonso starred in a soft porn.
But fans will get a chance to see this Days of Our Lives actress featured in a very different role next month.

In 2006, Kristian Alfonso launched a jewelry line called Hope Faith Miracles.
Below, the Days of Our Lives star talks a bit about the endeavor:
"On the show, I've only ever worn my own jewelry and have always been asked where [fans] can get my earrings, my bracelet, my necklace, my this or that. They couldn't get it because they were my own personal pieces.
Then in 2006, I was back East at a store and a fan came up and said, 'Oh, my God! Those earrings! I love them -- you wear them on the show. And you have the fleur de lie pendant on, I love that!' After she walked away, my sister looked at me and asked, 'Are you convinced yet? Let's do a jewelry line and make it affordable for everyone.'
So we launched Hope Faith Miracles. The pieces are beautiful. I'm very proud of them and had fun designing them. Right now I'm working on some new pieces for Home Shopping Network.

On Days of Our Lives, Kristian Alfonso has played on-screen mother to Jason Cook, who portrayed Shawn Douglas Brady from 1999-2001. She recently talked about him on the official show website.
"I haven't spoken to Jason in a while. I miss him dearly. I miss working with him and socializing with him. He's a great guy and extremely talented," the actress said.
When Jason left the role of Shawn, blue-eyed hunk Brandon Beemer (pictured) stepped in.
"Brandon is a wonderful guy and a delight to work with," Alfonso said.

On Friday, September 21 and Saturday, September 22, Kristian Alfonso will be showing off Hope Faith Miracles, her new jewelry line, at Sunfest 2007.
The event will be held Ocean City, Maryland at Inlet Pier.
On Friday, October 5 and Saturday, October 6, the Days of Our Lives will also be taking part in Mistletoe Merchants.
