After months of speculation, Soap Opera Network has learned that Josh Duhon's last day as Logan Hayes will be Tuesday, July 8.

Duhon joined General Hospital in March 2007, portraying the eventual love interest of Lulu Spencer. It was soon revealed, of course, that Logan was the son of Scott Baldwin.

In November 2007, Logan's airtime and his place in Lulu's heart gradually decreased in favor of Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash), who became the new bad boy of Port Charles.

In a major twist of fate - General Hospital spoiler warning! - Logan will be killed off by Lulu when the two get into a fight over the truths of their lives.

Breaking news in Soap Opera Weekly this morning says that Josh Duhon (Logan) is checking out of General Hospital. The actor, who joined the show in March, 2007, is rumored to be making a dramatic exit this summer.

Yesterday, of course, we reported that Leven Rambin would be leaving All My Children.

Josh Duhon is profiled in The Miami Herald. The article reads:

Josh Duhon wasn't feeling confident when he went to read for the role of Logan Hayes on General Hospital.

''I'd auditioned for every soap on television before that at least twice, and I'd never even gotten a callback for General Hospital,'' says Duhon, whose success rate had been a big fat zero, except for a short stint on Passions.

But the third time was the charm for Duhon and General Hospital. The show's brass not only called Duhon back but they promptly signed him to a contract to portray young rebel Logan. Duhon attributes it to really connecting with the part.

''They read a lot of people for Logan, like 500,'' Duhon says. "They were looking for a guy who was young, had a real edge and a presence to him. Because of my family background, I understood who Logan was. I understood that this guy was tough, but he was also extremely vulnerable. He could be smiling on the outside, but he was hurting on the inside.''
