Are you familiar with the show Made on MTV?
In its eighth season, the series chronicles the challenges and accomplishments that young people face as they attempt a life-changing transformation. To assist on their journey in this makeover, MTV provides a coach who doubles as a mentor for the teens portrayed on the show.
Here's where it becomes relevant to soap opera fans:
A marathon of new Made episodes airs on January 12 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. (ET/PT), and it includes "Made: Soap Star," which centers on Erick, a seventeen-year old from Pennsylvania. He's tired of feeling invisible.
Therefore, he decides to be "made" into a soap opera star to gain a new type of celebrity status and confidence. Helping Erick on his journey? Jacob Young. The All My Children star has five weeks to make sure Erick knows the ins and outs of being a daytime actor in order to nail the once in a lifetime opportunity:
