Kim Zimmer is involved in a prominent story line these days on Guiding Light.

The actress was recently asked by Michael Fairman how she liked her character's story line, as Reva is currently pregnant with leukemia.

Her response:

The more they pile on me the happier I am... I forget I have leukemia, and I have not had chemo in a while. They don’t write her like she is sick; they write her great balls ahead. So I forget I have leukemia and I go full force. They have to be consistent in the writing when they force that stuff on you, and they have not been. There are times you have to remind yourself, it’s your job as an actor to remember those things.

Jeff Branson has returned to Guiding Light.

Many soap opera fans are familiar with this actor from his days on All My Children (in the role of Jonathan Lavery), but he also guest-starred on the CBS drama a few years ago as a "young" Alan Spaulding.

Now, Branson has taken over the role of Shayne Lewis. And he recently spoke to TV Guide about the character:

"He's in a place in his life where he's hiding from everything," Branson says in the following video, which also touches on a Shayne-Marina-Mallet-Dinah love quadrangle and reveals who Shayne will be stalking...

Actress Tyra Colar will reportedly over the role of Guiding Light's Leah Bauer. Look for her to debut on December 1.

The actress previously enjoyed a bit part as Lenore on One Life to Live.

Look for Montel Williams to return to Guiding Light in the role of Clayton Boudreau this week. He'll take part in the Boudreau family Thanksgiving. Expect several uncomfortable moments for the youngest Boudreau, Remy (Lawrence Saint-Victor) throughout the episode.

"At this dinner, you get to see what it is like for the black sheep to be around all these people," Saint-Victor said of the story line. "You've seen him with his mom, you've seen him with his dad, but you haven't seen him with everybody, and (it shows) how different he is."

It doesn't help that Remy recently got married without informing his family (not that he had planned to get drunk and wake up the next morning married to Christina, of course). Remy's bride adds to his difficulties when she turns up as an uninvited guest during the meal.

"The wedding is a big to-do at Thanksgiving, and Remy doesn't want the pressure," Saint-Victor said. "He is just trying to keep it together under duress."
