Confirmed: Sarah Joy Brown Returning to General Hospital

Sarah Joy BrownRumor is now fact: Sarah Joy Brown will be coming back to General Hospital.

The actress will portray Angela Zacharra, Anthony's daughter and Johnny's sister. Look for her initial scene in January, as the character will be her showing up at Sonny's to talk, but finds Jason (Steve Burton) instead.

Angela will be calling upon the Zacchara rivals because she wants to help them take control of her father's territory. Why the treachery? Because Angela loves her brother Johnny... but hates Trevor. The final, juicy General Hospital spoiler we can spill?

Angela will also have a past with Ric (Rick Hearst).

Lindze Letherman to Be Killed Off General Hospital

Lindze Letherman It's been hinted at for several weeks, but there is now insider confirmation that Georgie Jones (Lindze Letherman) will be the next victim of the mass murderer lurking around Port Charles.

Last month, Natalia Livingston (Emily Quartermaine) met an untimely death at the hands of the killer. Unlike Livingston, though, who will continue to make General Hospital appearances as a spirit, Letherman will be gone right after her character is offed.

For awhile now, General Hospital's writing team has been unable to come up with story lines of relevance for Letherman since the exit of her on-screen love interest, Scott Clifton (Dillon Quartermaine), earlier this year.

This seems like the best way for the show and the actress to go.

Genie Francis Apologizes to General Hospital Fans

800010825_220_cache.png Inspired by the message at the heart of The Note - the Hallmark Channel movie she stars in this Saturday night - Genie Francis wants to make amends with General Hospital fans.

Many of them, decades after the fact, have remained bitter and disappointed that the actress quit the soap opera at the peak of her popularity.

"I know that Laura [Baldwin Spencer] meant a great deal to many people, and still does," says Francis. "I've long regretted not taking the fans into account when making the hasty decision to leave the show.

"Forgiveness and reconciliation are at the core of The Note, and filming it forced me to look inside myself at certain decisions in my past.... Right now I want to reach out to all of my fans and say that I'm sorry. I'm sorry for leaving you so abruptly, for not taking into account the feelings of the people who helped Laura truly take on a life of her own.

"It was the decision of a young, impetuous girl," Francis finished, "and the woman she has become asks for your forgiveness."

Gotta admire Francis for this course of action.

Kristina Wagner Dishes on General Hospital Return

Kristina Wagner Kristina Wagner has given her first interview since inking a deal to return to General Hospital as Felicia, the role she portrayed from 1984-2005.

The actress talked to Soap Opera Weekly about the the backstory she created to explain Felicia's long absence:

"It involves hooking up with Frisco," she teases.

Since leaving General Hospital, Wagner has returned to school: "I changed my major three times, starting with theater, going to liberal studies. And just last spring, I changed it to history."

Pick up the new issue of Soap Opera Weekly for the full interview, which includes a photo of Wagner's two teenage sons with actor Jack Wagner (Nick, The Bold and the Beautiful).

Sarah Brown to Return to General Hospital

sarahbrown03l.jpg Not much to report on this news item for now, but the official website of Sarah Brown says the actress is coming back to General Hospital.

After five years and three Daytime Emmy wins, Brown bid farewell to the soap opera world in 2001. A couple years after her departure, the actress was asked by Soap Opera Digest if she missed daytime TV. She replied:

"I miss the consistency of being on a soap in a contract role and knowing that tomorrow these are your lines and you're going to wake up and have the opportunity to do what you love."

Following a brief stint on As the World Turns, which ended in March 2005, Sarah now says General Hospital is again in her future. Here's the recent blurb posted on the subject from her site: 11.30.07: Sarah is returning to General Hospital. More details to come...

Natalia Livingston: Remaining on General Hospital

Rest easy, General Hospital fans: Natalia Livingston isn't going anywhere, despite a few recent rumor to the contrary.

Natalia Livingston"[General Hospital] and I started contract negotiations several months ago... Both wanting to work something out. We have finally come to a deal where both sides are happy," Livingston said in a statement. "With that said, I am, have been, and will always be incredibly grateful to General Hospital for giving me such a wonderful job. I love and treasure every day on the show."

The rumors of Livington's departure spread after a General Hospital fan club member actually stated online that she was exiting the series.

But Livingston said the statements made about her supposed departure were not only inaccurate, but fraudulent as well.

"I have no doubt that my fans, friends and family at General Hospital will easily distinguish between fact and fiction, reject sensationalist headlines, Internet blogsites, and know that if a statement didn't sounds like something I would say I simply did not say it," the 31-year-old actress said.
