Billy Dee Williams is set to star on General Hospital.

The actor will reprise the role of Toussaint DuBois, which he portrated on on the SOAPnet spinoff, General Hospital: Night Shift.

On the daytime drama, Toussaint will hit town during a break from touring with his band, The Saints. He'll arrive to check in on his close friend, Epiphany (Sonya Eddy). Expect Williams to start airing in early June.

On Tuesday, General Hospital will unveil a new nurses' hub.

It's well-deserved, considering the location was blown to smithereens last month.

TV Guide sat down with General Hospital production designer Chip Dox to get an inside look at the hospital's new nerve center. Here are excerpts from the interview:

TVGuide.com: Which came first: the decision to have an explosion in the hospital or the idea to update the nurses' hub?
Chip Dox: They came pretty much on top of each other. For [the GH spin-off] Night Shift, we built a new hub, with the idea that we would use parts of it on General Hospital. They liked the concept of it so much, they said, "We want something [of our own] like that."

TVGuide.com: Were there any special considerations with the show switching to hi-def soon?
Dox: Lighting was our biggest one. [For HD] we use much less light, and because of that the depth of field is shallower. That puts the areas past and in front of the actors in soft focus, which we like.

In a new interview with TV Guide Canada, Kimberly McCullough is asked if she's staying on TV for the foreseeable future.

General Hospital fans ought to be pleased with her response:

I think so. I have to be honest with you: I don’t want to be an actor forever. I’m writing a few television projects in my spare time. That’s the direction I’m headed in. The reason I returned to the show is because I missed working and I wanted some security so I could focus on my writing. Auditioning takes up a lot of time. I might end up leaving the profession altogether so I can become a full-time writer. I’d like to write for television and film. I have a few projects I’m almost ready to talk about. So I am excited.

General Hospital fans are about to be re-introduced to Sonny's son, Michael Quartermaine Corinthos.

As TV Guide puts it, we hope viewers are ready for a case of Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome.

Following months of speculation - and a coma for the character - Drew Garrett has landed the plum role of young Michael. He was previously portrayed by Dylan Cash and was last seen on December 29, 2008.

When Garrett makes his General Hospital debut on April 24, Michael will still be in his hospital bed.

The actor's previous credits include a guest-starring stint on a Criminal Minds episode that aired this past December.
