Genie Francis to Reappear on General Hospital

Genie Francis will return to General Hospital in August for what is slated to be a short-term guest-starring stint.

Viewers will recall that the actress returned briefly in 2006; that return actually helped Francis win her first Daytime Emmy Award. Francis appears happy to be returning to her on-screen family.

"This is a short visit," Francis said in a statement. "It's a mother-daughter story. Years ago when I started playing the character as a 14-year-old girl, it was a mother-daughter story, only I was the daughter. So it's kinda cool this is full circle. It's nice to come back for visits. General Hospital is my home."

General Hospital Casting News: Rolando Molina and Kristin Herrera

According to Soap Opera Network, two new roles have been cast on General Hospital.

Beginning on July 23, look for actors (pictured) and Kristin Herrera to join the series in the recurring roles of Sal and Lourdes. These characters will have a connection to Johnny (Brandon Barash) and Lulu (Julie Berman).

Laura Wright Dishes on General Hospital Spoilers, Story Lines

Today on General Hospital, Jax walks into a conversation between Sonny and Carly. This leads to an ultimatum for his bride.

"If she tells one more lie," Laura Wright (Carly) told The New York Daily News, "he's done."

Carly has told a boatload of them, as fans know.

"Sonny forces Carly to admit that she's the one who leaked the rumor," adds Wright, referring to the compromising tabloid photo of Jax with Sonny's fiancée, Kate.

Carly realizes: "Wow, I'm going to lose this guy. So she vows, 'I'm not going to do anything wrong.'"

On General Hospital this week, it's lights out for Logan.

Does actor Josh Duhon, who spoke with Soap Opera Digest about his exit, have any regrets about his time on the show?

"The only thing I'm really disappointed with was that the Logan/Scotty relationship was never [fully] developed," he told the publication.

General Hospital Spoilers: Farewell, Josh Duhon!

After months of speculation, Soap Opera Network has learned that Josh Duhon's last day as Logan Hayes will be Tuesday, July 8.

Duhon joined General Hospital in March 2007, portraying the eventual love interest of Lulu Spencer. It was soon revealed, of course, that Logan was the son of Scott Baldwin.

In November 2007, Logan's airtime and his place in Lulu's heart gradually decreased in favor of Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash), who became the new bad boy of Port Charles.

In a major twist of fate - General Hospital spoiler warning! - Logan will be killed off by Lulu when the two get into a fight over the truths of their lives.
