Antonio Sabato Jr. Confirmed for General Hospital: Night Shift

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Antonio Sabato Jr. will reprise his role as Jagger Cates on the second season of the General Hospital: Night Shift. Sabato is scheduled to appear in all 13 episodes of the second season, which debuts in late July.

The actor's most recent daytime stint was as Dante Damiano on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2005-06.

Tristan Rogers: Back on General Hospital: Night Shift!

Tristan Rogers will reprise his beloved character of Robert Scorpio on the second season of SOAPnet's original series, Genera Hospital: Night Shift. The season will debut in late July.

Rogers reappeared on General Hospital in 2006 after a 14-year absence, in which his character was allegedly killed in a boat explosion.

The actor's return is a great surprise to longtime fans, who've been calling for a father-daughter reunion ever since the character resurfaced, especially now that Robin is an HIV-positive mother-to-be.

General Hospital: Night Shift to Continue with General Hospital Story Lines

Here's good news for those that were annoyed when Jason was Jason was imprisoned during the "day" on General Hospital last year, yet roamed about, playing hero on General Hospital: Night Shift:

SOAPnet's nighttime drama returns in July, but promises returns more continuous story lines with its sister show than it produced in its first season. Producer say the transition between the two shows will be seamless.

General Hospital: Night Shift Earns Record Ratings

The series premiere of General Hospital: Night Shift - the companion piece/spin-off/alternate reality series to General Hospital - gave SOAPnet its largest-ever audiences in both total viewers (one million) and women 18-to-49 (498,000).

The show also proved robust against its basic cable competitors, placing number-two in the aforementioned key demo.

Want another healthy sign? Night Shift improved upon SOAPnet's year-ago audience by a mere 341 percent in total viewers, as well.
