On April 24, Eden Riegel returns to All My Children...  though merely for a week.

The actress is back so her character, Bianca, can enjoy a happy ending with her estranged partner, Reese. The couple got married on Valentine’s Day. However, the union ended a day later when Bianca found out Reese had kissed Zach at the rehearsal dinner.

Bianca filed for an annulment and flew off to Paris, leaving many fans quite angry.

Head writer Chuck Pratt spoke to TV Guide Magazine and blamed the mess on Riegel’s exit for pilot season.

“I was led to believe we had her for longer than we really did - suddenly I got word that Eden is leaving now,” he said.

Fortunately, all will end up right in the All My Children world.

“Love wins out. Reese and Bianca will go back to France together,” said Pratt. “They will survive as a couple.”

Eden Riegel couldn't be happier.

She's back on All My Children and... we'll let the actress herself share the rest:

"It’s amazing to be back. It’s like going home (if home was a really cold studio filled with really gorgeous people). But the best part is working with Tamara Braun. She’s a fantastic person and an amazing actress," Riegel said, adding:

"There was a time not so long ago that Bianca and Maggie could barely greet each other with a kiss on the cheek, now Bianca and Reese are actually in bed together. I love it!"

So do fans. Welcome back, Eden.

Eden Riegel's character of Bianca is featured prominently on All My Children these days.

She's engaged to Reese, and talked about the relationship with Soap Opera Digest:

I love working with Tamara [Braun, Reese] so much. The story is intriguing; she didn't tell her mother or her sister that she was in love with a woman, so much so that they had decided to have a child together, which as far as I'm concerned is a bigger commitment than marriage, a decision that needs to be taken even more seriously than getting married.

Tamara and I had tried to get together and get to know each other and get used to each other and go over our characters' history, but they were running so early the day we taped our first scenes, they changed our call time to hours earlier and we didn't have time to rehearse, so it was literally like, 'Hi, I'm Eden,' 'Hi, I'm Tamara,' and then it was time to be in love with each other. But we just had an instant connection.

Eden Riegel plays Bianca on All My Children, one of daytime TV's better known lesbians.

She recently spoke to The Advocate about her return to the show:

Unlike the last few times you returned to All My Children, I understand that this time you’re sticking around for quite a while.
Yes, you’ll see a couple of things you haven’t seen in a while. You’ll see me sticking around, and then you’ll see Bianca in a full-fledged, committed relationship with another woman, played by an incredibly powerhouse actress that the fans already know and love (General Hospital Emmy nominee Tamara Braun) and who does just amazing work. So it’s a really exciting time for All My Children.

Later today on All My Children, Zach finds Bianca in the tornado rubble... and she's pregnant with his baby. (Remember, she used his sperm to impregnate herself, but failed to tell Zach... until now?)

"Zach is looking for Kendall," Eden Riegel, pictured, told The New York Daily News. "He is shocked to find Bianca. Nobody knew she was coming to Pine Valley."

Does Bianca tell Zach she's knocked up? Yes.

But he can't deal with that until he saves his wife.

"Zach discovers Kendall's lifeless body and resuscitates her," Riegel said of future All My Children story lines. "Paramedics come, but they only have room in the vehicle for one person. Zach convinces them to take the kids, as well. He and Bianca wait."

Wow. Exciting news for fans of All My Children.

According to SOAPnet, not only is Eden Riegel returning to the show as Bianca; she'll be joined by Tamara Braun, who will be playing Bianca's new girlfriend, Reese Williams.

"Reese is a confident and successful architect who Bianca has been shacking up with in Paris," said a source.

Bianca will first appear on October 17. Reese will follow on October 30.

Braun is best known for her role as Carly on General Hospital, but recently completed a run as Ava on Days of Our Lives. She was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in 2004 as Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. We love her!

A lot of you have asked me when I will be on All My Children again. But, unfortunately, I just don't know. I agree that it's weird that Binx hasn't visited her mama in the clink. And nothing would make me happier than hopping on the Cambias jet, slipping a nail file in a cake, and showing some "Kane-woman" support to her in this awful time. I really hope I get the chance to drop in because I am sure nothing could keep Bianca away.
