John Callahan, the actor best known to soap opera fans as All My Children character Edmund Grey, has been cast as a doctor who crosses paths with Nicole (Arianne Zuker) on Days of Our Lives.
Look for him to first appear on November 24. He previous played Artie on the show in 1989.

In a fun new feature in Soap Opera Digest, Darin Brooks reminisces... about being naked!
The Days of Our Lives star thinks back to his five favorite scenes on set, and we thought female readers might be interested in the following one:
"Being handcuffed in the elevator during the Las Vegas storyline. This girl was getting back at Max for punching out a guy who was touching Stephanie on the airplane earlier. So she got Max naked and acted like she wanted to have sex with him. Then she handcuffed him to one of the rails in the elevator, took his clothes, and left.
All these other ladies were coming onto the elevator, while Max was just standing there naked. It was a fun little scene, and I had to stay there handcuffed to the elevator in between takes. And, of course, I was wearing that flesh-colored underwear they make you wear when you're supposed to be naked. When we were taping it, there were visions going through my head.
I kept thinking of Michael J. Fox in The Secret of My Success. Remember the scene where he's chained to the elevator? His assistant is standing outside, and when the door opens, he's flashing his muscles. That's totally what I was thinking about."

Arianne Zuker's Nicole told EJ that she was pregnant with his baby earlier today on Days of Our Lives.
With the secret loose, how will EJ react?
"I'm not sure if he believes her, because of her past," Zuker told The New York Daly News. "This is Nicole's chance to do something right with her life. All this girl wants is a family after her father put her in, yes, ladies and gentlemen, porn. She just wants to be loved by a man and get that love back."
Nicole's dream is complicated, of course, because EJ already has one child with Sami - and another one on the way.
"No one knows that but Sami and Lucas," said the actress. "There is a teaser coming up where Nicole and Sami run into each other at the Brady Pub and have to sit next to each other because it's totally crowded. Someone orders a plate of clams, and they're both like, 'It's not ours.' They look at each each other like they are both going to be completely sick. It's funny."
Women might be torn on their love for Sarah Palin, but they seem to be in agreement over Days of Our Lives.
The show matched its highest rating amont women 18-49 rating in almost six months last week, lifting the daytime drama 18 percent above its rating for the same week last year.
For the week of September 29-October 3, Days of Our Lives ranked fourth among network daytime programs in this coveted demographic.
Sami is pregnant. And the baby is EJ's.
But that's not always easy news to share. Watch Sami try to do it in the following Days of Our Lives clip:
Alison Sweeney has no complains about life on Days of Our Lives. In a recent interview, the actress aid that time on the show hasn't gotten old at all:
"I love playing Sami. It still excites me. She’s different every day. Every day I get a script, and it’s a brand-new challenge."
Sweeney went on about her character:
"She’s had two men fighting over her for so long, and now there are none. She is definitely wondering what happened with that. With Lucas, she found a real, adult, mature relationship. Then EJ came along, and he manipulated Sami like she did with Austin. As an actress, it’s fun for me to be along for the ride."
As for what Sweeney would love to see for Sami down the line on Days of Our Lives? She has some ideas.
"I would love to see Sami get involved with a career of some kind. I’ve always felt that she’s been underestimated. If we could get her focused on her career, that would be a good way to vent her emotions and energies.”
