Coming up on Days of Our Lives, Brady believes there's something off with John's hypnotherapist Charlotte.

So, what does he do?

He "busts into Charlotte's office," Eric Martsolf (pictured, Brady) tells Soap Opera Weekly. "He downloads a few of John's hypnosis sessions from Charlotte's computer."

In a new interview, Days of Our Lives star Alison Sweeney states she's never been a part of anything like the story line involving EJ.

Here's exactly what Sweeney had to say about the angle:

I have read all sorts of opposing view points on that story. In 16 years on a soap, I've never been part of a more controversial, divisive storyline. And for someone who is always interested in the fans perspective and feedback, it was incredibly difficult for me to try to digest both sides of the argument. In the end, I had a job to do, and I did it the best I could.

On January 23, Deidre Hall and Drake Hogestyn will lead Days of Our Lives, as Marlena Evans and John Black bid farewell to their loved ones in Salem.

With John's memories faltering, what sort of goodbye with this exit entail?

Executive producer Ken Cordray isn't revealing it entirely, but he has released a statement reading:

"There is never an end when a couple leaves happily. They're [John and Marlena] not dead. Characters have left and come back [before]."

The calendar turns to a new year next week, and the following developments take place on Days of Our Lives...

• Philip asks Stephanie to help him ring in the New Year.

• Max kisses Chelsea (Rachel Melvin, pictured)!

• Chloe warns Brady to steer clear of Nicole.
