Monday, October 15th
Marlena and Belle tend to John, who is unconscious; Lucas tries to convince Sami that John's accident was a coincidence; Stefano asks Tony to run the DiMera empire; Chelsea and Stephanie (Shelley Hennig, pictured) find chaos at the sorority house; Stephanie is jealous.

Tuesday, October 16th
John (Drake Hogestyn) regains consciousness; Shawn arrives to comfort Belle; Lucas pleads with Sami; E.J. takes the annulment papers to Stefano; Stephanie spies on Max's date with Morgan; Chelsea arrives to find Stephanie stalking Max and Morgan.

Wednesday, October 17th
E.J. wonders whether his father had something to do with John's accident; Bo finds pieces of a broken headlight at the accident scene; Sami and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) fight about her plan to wed E.J.; Morgan offers to back off if Stephanie is interested in Max.

Thursday, October 18th

Friday, October 19th
Belle and Sami (Alison Sweeney) tell Marlena they are moving in with her; Sami is convinced that marrying E.J. is necessary; Bo tries to talk Shawn out of becoming a police officer; the doctor explains Pocket's rare condition; Philip kisses Belle as Shawn enters.

We may have gone over a few of these items in separate, recent posts, but here's a look at a few comings and going on the set of Days of Our Lives:

• Lauren, Mimi and Shawn's surrogate mother is returning. And she'll be portrayed once again by Lisa Jay on October 8.

• Nadia Bjorlin is coming back at the end of October. She signed a new two-year contract as Chloe Lane-Black.

• The role of Ford Decker, a good looking frat dude at Salem U, will be played by Matthew Florida. Ford will first appear on Tuesday, October 9.

• Contrary to a few reports, Marcus Patrick (Jett Carver) is not leaving the show.

• The role of Pete Brady will be played by Tom Archdeacon. He first appeared on Wednesday, September 26 in the Irish church.

Shelley Hennig "mde an extreme negative into a positive," the Days of Our Lives star told Soap Opera Digest about the tragedy that took her told brother, Brad, in 1991.

He died in a drunk driving accident. And Henning is now crusading against underage drinking in an effort to prevent future accidents.

Following the incident, Hennig began working with the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (CADA), a Louisiana nonprofit community health agency. From there, the young actress became a spokesperson for Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the Buzz Free Prom project.

"My brother was only 18 when he died," said Hennig. "There were four people in the car. Two of them survived. My brother and this girl passed away. We don't know who the driver was. And it doesn't really matter who was drinking."

While the actress has never gotten over the tragedy, she has found that lending her time and support to these groups has proven somewhat therapeutic.

"Since I was 16 I've been going around speaking at different schools about losing my brother to a drinking and driving crash," said the Days of Our Lives favorite. "My goal and hope was to show people that you're untouchable."

Lately, Hennig has become quite involved with Buzz Free Prom.

"The organization's mission is to take alcohol out of the prom equation," she said. "You get teenagers, kids in high school, to sign a pledge that they won't drink on prom night. They all get together and make this pact."

Here's bad news for Days of Our Lives fans that liked to catch up with their favorite soap opera in iTunes: You won't be able to do so anymore.

NBC and Apple could not reach on their partnership, rendering all fall TV shows on the network unavailable over the popular service.

"We are disappointed to see NBC leave iTunes because we would not agree to their dramatic price increase," said Eddy Cue, Apple's vice president of iTunes. " We hope they will change their minds and offer their TV shows to the tens of millions of iTunes customers."

As we reported previously, Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe) is returning to Days of Our Lives.

The actress' comeback episode will air some time in November.

"We're thrilled to have her back," says Days of Our Lives Executive Producer Ken Corday. "She is an amazingly beautiful and talented woman.... She comes back with an edge."

We can't wait to see what that entails.

Even the most diehard of Days of Our Lives fans may have a few questions. Below, Soap Opera Digest responded to a few:

Q: Does Mimi (Farah Fath) have any other siblings besides Patrick?
A: Yes, she does: a teenage brother named Connor. While the character has occasionally been mentioned on the show, viewers have rarely seen him.

Q: Can you please explain how Carrie, Sami (Alison Sweeney, pictured) and Belle are related?
A: Carrie and Sami share Roman for a father. Sami and Belle share Marlena for a mother. Carrie and Belle are not biologically related, but were raised to consider themselves sisters.

Q: Did Renee Jones (Lexie) ever portray another character on Days of Our Lives?
A: Yes, she did. From 1982 to 1983 Jones played Nikki Wade, a secretary at the Salem Police Department. In 1993, she assumed the role of Abe’s wife, Lexie.

Q: How are Shawn, Philip and Brady related?
A: They are all related through Victor Kiriakis. Victor is Bo's biological father, which makes him Shawn's grandfather. Victor's late daughter, Isabella, was Brady's mother, which also makes him Victor's grandson. Philip is Victor's son with Kate. So, Philip is Shawn and Brady's uncle, and Shawn and Brady are cousins.

What's coming up on Days of Our Lives?

Earlier this summer, NBC announced the addition of Edward Scott into the production team of the network's leading soap opera, Days of our Lives. As the new co-executive producer of the soap, Scott plans to incorporate more realistic angles into the show.

"My plan is to get [Days of our Lives] back to beautiful basics - real drama with real people" Scott told TV Guide. "That's why the audience is watching so much reality TV - they want to feel things are really happening."

Of course, fans won't have to worry about Days of our Lives completely ditching its extraordinary, theatrical depictions of life.

"We have some wild stuff coming up with Stefano [Joseph Mascolo]. In fact, we're going to do Kill Bill. We just can't afford to do this over the top stuff all the time,” Scott said.

Scott's plan for Days of our Lives is a response to the threat of cancellation the series received last January.

"We know that is looming over us... My goal is to make [Days of our Lives] such a great show that there's no way they're going to be able to cancel it. They'll be embarrassed to do it."

"I am very enthusiastic about the important changes for Days of our Lives that Edward Scott will bring as co-executive producer," Executive Producer Ken Cordray said in a press release. "Ed comes with more than twenty years experience with The Young and the Restless and brings a new, vibrant, creative energy and strength to this all-important position of leadership."
