Catherine Hickland Raises Women's Heart Disease Awareness

For most people, when they see a series of stunning red dresses - covering a handful of beautiful ladies - they stop and stare. That's the goal of Project Red Dress, as the event hopes to raise awareness of women's heart disease.

One Life to Live actress Catherine Hickland is part of it.

"I have made so many great friends in Jonesboro. I don't even know how many times I come here anymore. Whenever I come here I eat at the same restaurants, I meet new people, I have great friends," Hickland told an Arkansas TV station.

Catherine Hickland: Words of Wisdom

A Catherine Hickland PictureCatherine Hickland, star of One Life to Live, chatted with Soap Opera Digest for its February 5 issue. The publication has published a few of the star's best lines from that interview:

"My three favorite words after ‘I love you' are, ‘And so what?' Really, if it's not a death in the family, for crying out loud, and so what? You're going to get past it."

"Until we take responsibility, there is no growing." — On her philosophy that we contribute to our own heartache

"Everything starts in the mind, so if you think about your ideal body weight and your ideal face and you take care of yourself, I believe you can control a lot of aging with your mind." — On striving to look the same at 90

"Sometimes, we just have to let things go. We have to let people go, maybe not forever, but when you see that someone isn't going to be able to rise to what you aspire the relationship to be, you have to let them go."

Catherine Hickland Comments on One Life to Live Angle

Catherine Hickland Pic When Catherine Hickland heard she was being nabbed as a killer on One Life to Live, she did what she always does: she made the best of it.

The actress kept the storyline a secret, preparing to give the final result her all as an actress.

“When I saw what was coming, I said, ‘Omigod, this is an opportunity to do the best work of my career and not worry what people will think of me.’ … I knew I had all the tools to perform the hell out of it, so I decided to enjoy this moment," she said.

"I remember when I used to watch Guiding Light, when Cynthia Watros (ex-Annie) won the Emmy Award, and for some reason I thought this could be my Watros moment. So I went for it.”

Is Catherine Hickland Leaving One Life to Live?

Guilty!

That was the verdict handed down last week, when it was discovered that Lindsay (Catherine Hickland) was behind the murder of Spencer on One Life to Live?

But does this mean that the actress is leaving the show? Not a chance, Hickland says.

She told Soap Opera Digest that she's sticking around Llanview for the foreseeable future. Guess we'll need to keep watching to see how all this plays out.
