Don't worry, fans. Cameron Mathison isn't leaving All My Children.

But the actor has added a new gig to his resume: correspondent for Good Morning America as a correspondent.

"I'm really excited. I'm now officially part of the Good Morning America correspondent team," Mathison said to OK!. "Obviously I love my gig on All My Children, but it'll be kind of nice to focus on just these two, not jumping around killing myself."

He went on:

"I love my work as an actor but I think it [Good Morning America] is an incredible show. I love the people I work with and I just step into the building and I learn from everyone there. That's the ulitmate for me."

In response to a video that seems to depict the All My Children star sporting such an undergarment, the actor says:

"I am finding this hysterica. I gotta be honest, it looks exactly like a thong. But I hate to disappoint, it's only my t-shirt stuck in my underwear."

We're not judging Cameron Mathison for wearing a thong.

In fact, we think it's sort of sexy that Cameron Mathison donned a thong.

But it's still worth reporting that Cameron Mathison wore a thong during an All My Children scene last week. See for yourself:

Cameron Mathison joined a handful of celebrities over the weekend at Walt Disney Studios' 50th Anniversary screening of Sleeping Beauty. The event took place in New York City.

He may seem tireless and ageless, but Regis Philbin will retire one day.

And when "Live with Regis & Kelly" needs to be renamed, Cameron Mathison has made it clear he wants the gig:

"That would be the ultimate job for me, yeah," the soap star told The New York Daily News. "Every day you're talking to new celebrities. It's also nice and high-profile, clearly, if it's not the biggest morning show."

The All My Children star has already made his desire known.

"Michael Gelman knows that I want it. There's a ton of people that know I want it. My agent knows."

Cameron Mathison is the busiest man on daytime television. Aside from starring on All My Children, of course, the actor is hosting a new reality TV show and handing out the Daytime Emmys this Friday night.

Somehow, he found time to talk with TV Guide Canada. Here are excerpts:

TV Guide: How’s your family dealing with your insane workload? Does your wife remember what you look like?
Cameron Mathison: I hear she’s doing well — and if you talk to my wife, Nelson, please send her my best! [Laughs] My family still sees me; I haven’t sacrificed that part of my life and never will. Am I golfing, or working out as much? No. I’ve only given up my personal time.

TV Guide: You’re hosting the Emmys with Sherri Shepherd this Friday. What can we expect? I’d kill for you to pull a Billy Crystal or Conan O’Brien and spoof the genre.
Cameron Mathison: Lots of comedy… [and that’s all I’ll say]. You can’t co-host with Sherri and not be funny. The Emmys are pulling a Golden Globes with dinner tables and lots of booze! It’ll add a lot of spontaneity, a lot of humour and fun to the event.

TV Guide: Will it be awkward to host the ABC telecast when your network only received two major acting nominations?
Cameron Mathison: I have a feeling that had something to do with us cutting the show down to two hours from three, but I am so busy right now that I can’t focus on all the politics this year. I’m living in the moment presently because that’s the only way I can survive this next month.

It's a question thousands of women have dreamed of being asked, especially when Cameron Mathison is the man doing the asking: Your Place or Mine?

In this case, though, we're talking about the new game show on TLC. It debuts this Sunday.

''It's an interesting take on a game show,'' the All My Children star said. ''Two families are playing against each other in a trivia-based game. It's also got a reality show feel to it because round by round the families will win these rooms that they're playing for, and we'll cut to a field where a crew is waiting to get word, and they'll redo the family's room in real time as we're watching. It adds a really kind of cool makeover feel to it.

In later rounds, if the other family wins, they could ask us to go into the first family's house, take out that living room and put it in their house. So there's a lot of new aspects to it that you've never seen before on game shows.''

Cameron Mathison is always in demand.

The amiable All My Children star has signed on for yet another hosting gig, this one close to the hearts of all soap fans: he'll be co-hosting the 35th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards with Sherri Shepherd of The View.

This is Mathison's first time hosting the Emmys, but he's got plenty of experience with the microphone. The star has hosted SOAPnet's I Wanna Be a Soap Star for four seasons and he's been tapped to host TLC's new game show Your Place or Mine, as well.

The Daytime Emmys will be broadcast live from the Kodak Theatre on June 20 on ABC.

Cameron Mathison doesn't think he's busy enough, apparently.

The All My Children star will host a new new trivia-based game show called Your Place or Mine? on TLC. The series will pit two families against each other in attempts to either win new furnished rooms for their home, or steal rooms from their competitors.
