Beth Chamberlin Assists with Medical Center

Beth Chamberlain recently visited with Matheny Medical and Educational Center adult patients at the new Punch Kettlebell Gym in Far Hills, New Jersey.

The Guiding Light actress has collaborated with Punch founder, Anthony DiLuglio, to produce a fitness DVD, "The Kettlebell Way to a Perfect Body."

The Punch gym will use kettlebells, which resemble a flat-bottom cannonball with a handle, as the central tool for strength, endurance and body shaping. The kettlebells allow for movements and exercises that cannot be achieved with barbells, dumbbells or weight machines.

Chamberlain is donating the DVDs, which will be sold at the Far Hills Punch Kettlebell grand opening in Far Hills on Saturday, October 25.

Get to Know a Soap Opera Star: Beth Chamberlin

Beth Chamberlin ImageBeth Chamberlin joined Guiding Light and took over the role of Beth Raines (now Beth Bauer) in 1989.

She left the show in 1991, only to come back six years later after returning to school to study psychology.

Aside from that brief history, here are some fun facts about the actress:

  • Credits Guiding Light for piquing her husband's (Peter Roy) interest in her.
  • Her home was featured in a 2004 edition of Better Homes and Gardens.
  • Loves Seinfeld reruns. (Who doesn't?!?)
  • Has four pets.
  • Can walk up stairs on her hands.

Beth Chamberlin Loves Her Body!

Beth Chamberlin PicBeth Chamberlin is glad that her character on Guiding Light is no longer pregnant. That's because the actress herself is psyched to show off her body.

"I've been doing this workout that has my body in the best shape I've ever been in my entire life," Chamberlin told Soap Opera Digest. "The drag of the pregnancy suit is, I finally have the abs I've always wanted and I have them covered by a big belly! This past summer I looked better in a bikini than I did when I was in my 20s."

Chamberlin developed a weight-oriented workout to help sculpt her body. In fact, she has so much confidence in the routine that she's hoping to release an exercise DVD based on it.

"I'm pretty excited about it," said Chamberlin. "I believe that this is the answer that women have been looking for. And men, too! My husband does the same workout, just with a heavier weight than I do."

Chamberlin plans to release the workout DVD in March.
