Dylan Bruce, who has portrated Chris Hughes on As the World Turns since last November, has been taken off contract.

The character is currently in the middle of a love triangle with Alison and Aaron, which has been one of the show's frontburner stories of late. There's no word yet on how Bruce's change in status will impact the story.

The actor will continue to appear on As the World Turns on a recurring basis. And you can always drool over him shirtless on our site!

Nell Mooney the past season's Inturn winner, is set to join the cast of As the World Turns in the role of Spencer McKay. Spencer will host a variety show with Brad (Austin Peck), while also keeping a secret from all those in Oakdale.

Mooney will first appear in early October.

Mooney won a 13-week contract on As the World Turns after being voted the winner of Inturn by online viewers.

Two of our favorite As the World Turns stars are set to appear on stage.

• Billy Magnussen, pictured, will star in the play "Paper Dolls" at the Fringe Festival. The show runs from August 13 through August 23. Get ticket and show time information from the show's official website.

• Marnie Schulenburg will appear in "Anais Nin Goes To Hell" as part of the 11th Annual New York International Fringe Festival. The play runs from August 8 through August 24.

Deirdre Skiles has joined the cast of As the World Turns. The actress will take on the role of Dani Andopolous, the daughter of Steve Andropolous and Betsy Stewart.

Dani was born in October of 1983 and, for a period of time, Craig Montgomery let Betsy think he was her father. It was later revealed that Steve fathered Betsy and Steve and Betsy wed; it was one of the highest rated daytime episodes of all-time.

With her return to Oakdale, how will she deal with her Aunt Emily? Tune in and find out!
