Eden Riegel plays Bianca on All My Children, one of daytime TV's better known lesbians.

She recently spoke to The Advocate about her return to the show:

Unlike the last few times you returned to All My Children, I understand that this time you’re sticking around for quite a while.
Yes, you’ll see a couple of things you haven’t seen in a while. You’ll see me sticking around, and then you’ll see Bianca in a full-fledged, committed relationship with another woman, played by an incredibly powerhouse actress that the fans already know and love (General Hospital Emmy nominee Tamara Braun) and who does just amazing work. So it’s a really exciting time for All My Children.

Tamara Braun - previously seen as crazy person Ava Vitali on Days of Our Lives - will debut on All My Children on October 30. Her role? Lesbian architect Reese Williams.

The character Reese has been enjoying a serious romance in Paris with the soap opera's sapphic icon, Bianca Montgomery (Eden Riegel). Just how serious? These two are about to become parents; Bianca is pregnant.

A the sperm donor is Bianca's brother-in-law Zach (Thorsten Kaye)! When Reese gets word of the birth, she flies in from Paris and proposes marriage.

"I wasn't expecting to do another soap so soon after Days of Our Lives but this is a story that's groundbreak­ing and overdue," Braun told TV Guide. "Two female soap characters having a baby together is unprecedented. I wanted to be a part of something that could have a strong and posi­tive impact and help give same-sex couples their rightful place in the world of daytime drama."

But can viewers trust this Reese? Riegel has a loyal fan base that is known for being protective of her character.

"Reese is a strong, independent woman," said Braun. "She's also very warm and real and very expressive with her feelings. And she's madly in love with Bianca. It's the kind of love you can't describe, the kind of love Reese has never known before."

Long-time All My Children fans are in for a major treat when the show airs it 10,000th episode - yes, that's 10,000! - in November.

Show creator Agnes Nixon will make a cameo.

During the hour, the series will take a look back at the past 38 years. Look for Nixon to appear as a ghost, as one of the founders of Pine Valley, when town residents gather to mourn those lost in the tornadoes.

Later today on All My Children, Zach finds Bianca in the tornado rubble... and she's pregnant with his baby. (Remember, she used his sperm to impregnate herself, but failed to tell Zach... until now?)

"Zach is looking for Kendall," Eden Riegel, pictured, told The New York Daily News. "He is shocked to find Bianca. Nobody knew she was coming to Pine Valley."

Does Bianca tell Zach she's knocked up? Yes.

But he can't deal with that until he saves his wife.

"Zach discovers Kendall's lifeless body and resuscitates her," Riegel said of future All My Children story lines. "Paramedics come, but they only have room in the vehicle for one person. Zach convinces them to take the kids, as well. He and Bianca wait."

Susan Lucci has been on All My Children for decades.

Still, the actress told OK! that she has no plans on leaving the show any time soon.

“I don’t see a time. This character is fantastic and the American public seems to embrace her and it makes me so happy,” the actress said.

The 10,000th show of All My Children, meanwhile, will air in November. It's providing Susan with a chance to “look back on some of the happy times." Some of her favorite scenes?

The ones that had Erica Kane working as a model in New York City in the 1980s shot at Lincoln Center and the Metropolitan museum.

"All of that comes back to me," she said. "That was so much fun!”

It's a whirlwind of a week ahead on All My Children. Actually, more like a tornado...

Amanda Baker leaving All My Children... in grand, loud fashion!

The actress told Soap Opera Digest that "going out with a bang is better than going out with a whimper! And I'm definitely going out with a bang."

What does that mean? We can't be sure. But we bet it has something to do with the tornado scheduled to hit the show this fall.

Amanda Baker's time on All My Children is coming to an end.

A former One Life to Live cast member is coming to Pine Valley.

Laura Koffman (pictured), who played Cassie on the aforementioned soap opera, has been cast as Rebecca, the woman from Jesse's past that he recently confessed his involvement with to Angie. Oops!

Look for Cassie to bring up important details Jesse left out - and then look for her to come face-to-face with Angie.

Koffman can be seen on the October 28 episode of All My Children.
