ABC does not comment on contract negotiations. However, rumors are running rampant that All My Children might be saying goodbye to one of its favorite actresses.

Soap Central reports that insiders are saying the woman who plays Kendall Hart could be poised to exit the show in the upcoming months. Nothing has been decided at this time, as talks between Minshew and ABC executives are ongoing.

Regarding her future on the series, Minshew has simple said: "We're in the middle of negotiations. I'm in the process of figuring things out and trying to make things work."

Would it be a disaster if Alicia Minshew left All My Children?

Alicia Minshew will soon be appearing at two book signings to promote the book "Charm." The book was written by Alicia's All My Children character, Kendall Hart.

• On February 20 at 7:30 p.m., the actress will sign books at Barnes & Noble, Clifton Commons, 395 Route 3 East in Clifton, NJ.
• On March 6 at 7:00 p.m., she will sign books at Borders, 1499 Post Road in Fairfield, CT.

Alicia Minshew came down from floating on air long enough to tell Soap Opera Digest about the way boyfriend Richie Herschenfeld proposed to her last month.

"Richie and I have been talking about getting married sometime in 2008, and I figured maybe sometime in 2008 he'd propose to me. He completely surprised me by doing on December 13," she recounted.

After a long day of work, the All My Children star returned to the apartment she shared with Herschenfeld and "Richie said, ‘Lish, I cooked you dinner,' and I was like, ‘Awesome!' He poured some wine, and I was like ‘Wow, wine, in the middle of the week?' He never does that."

Naturally, such a course of action caused Minshew to wonder about what her boyfriend was up to.

"We sat by the Christmas tree, drank some wine, and the next thing I know we're cleaning up after dinner, and he says, ‘Lish, can you go check the Christmas tree to see if it has enough water?'"

It did. But then Herschenfeld pointed out something on the tree:

"There was a big red bow that was not there two seconds [before]. Apparently when I was leaning over to check the water he stuck it to the tree. I looked closely and dangling from the bow was this silver Tiffany's charm bracelet and I thought, ‘All right! An early Christmas present! Nice!'"

From there, the actress noticed the inscription on the charm: "It said, ‘I love you,' on one side, and I thought, ‘Oh, that's sweet,' and then I turned it on to the other side, and it said, ‘Will you marry me, my sweet Lish.' I swear to God my whole entire body went numb. He said, ‘I've waited my whole life for you. Will you be my wife?' I combusted into tears."

Alicia Minshew received an early Christmas gift this year:

Her longtime boyfriend, Richie Hersch proposed in early December! And, of course, the All My Children star accepted.

Alicia Minshew (Kendall) told a Soap Opera Weekly reporter recently that she was a bit displeased with the step backward that Kendall is taking revenge on Greenlee this late in the game.

“Being devious is always fun. But there are times when I feel she takes a few steps backward, and I don't want her to go backward," the actress said.

"I want her to realize that she has two children now, and revenge is not the way. I want to show that this woman has grown.”

How would Minshew write this story line on All My Children? Greenlee should be punished, but not this harshly.

Instead of taking this step backward, Minshew suggested forgiveness and a European vacation for Kendall and Zach, along with therapy and a friendship forever for Kendall and Greenlee (Sabine Singh).

Saying All My Children star Alicia Minshew is beautiful isn't really news, we know.

She was voted one of the most beautiful women in daytime by Soap Opera Digest editors earlier this month, but the actress says her idea of beauty has morphed since she first started in the business.

Earlier in Minshew's career, she was all about glamor. Now, though, hunkering down at home with boyfriend Richie in her nightgown, face washed and clean, is her ultimate idea of beauty. And we couldn't agree more.

Overall, the highest compliment Minshew can hear h ow she looks a lot like Vivien Leigh’s Scarlett O’Hara from the movie Gone With The Wind.

“And right up there with that is being told I look like Susan Lucci. Hello! The woman is gorgeous. To be told I look like those two women is beyond flattering.”

There's little doubt that Alexa Havins left an impression on viewers around the country.

But the former All My Children star also left co-stars in tears during her goodbye party.

“I said to her, ‘You have just grown to be such a wonderful young woman and have such a great future ahead of you and you have been such a wonderful part of my years here.’

Alicia Minshew is hearing a lot of feedback about her deaf son storyline on All My Children.

The actress recently spoke to Soaps.com about it...

"I get so much hate mail," said Minshew, comparing Kendall's actions toward both Spike and Ian as similar to survivor's guilt. "It's very much 'Why am I okay? Why are my children not?' She's dealing with so many different levels of guilt.

Alicia also said viewers would be happy with how the storyline continues to play out.

"I can tell you that (Kendall) will begin bonding with Ian and will realize that she has been neglecting him. Part of the reason is that she feels like Spike (and his current condition) is her fault. And, she is deathly afraid she will or she has hurt Ian. She's being driven by fear and guilt and she wants to protect Spike and Ian."

From the beginning, though, fans have been stunned with the depth of angle. How did Minshew even summon the emotion for the part?

"I had to go to this place that I never really knew was there - my maternal side," she said. "I just sort of took how I feel about my mother and how she feels about us and tapped in to that. I just use the love that I know I will have for my child, a child that doesn't yet exist."
