Rebecca Herbst originated the role of Elizabeth Webber in August of 1997. While originally misguided and mischievous, Elizabeth has become one of the town's most beloved heroines.
In February of 1999, Herbst won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Younger Lead Actress. She also received her first Emmy nomination for Outstanding Younger Actress in May 1999.
The actress married former General Hospital co-star Michael Saucedo in June 2001. They have two children, Ethan and Ella.
