Eileen Davidson Pens Novel

Eileen Davisdon is about to release her first book.

The Bold and the Beautiful star has drawn on her experience in the daytime world to pen, “Death in Daytime,” the first in a series of mystery novels written by the actress and centers=ing around the murder of the head writer of a soap opera called, The Yearning Tide.

Eileen Davidson Shot

A quick synopsis of this initial effort: After a murder, the soap opera's leading lady becomes the main suspect in the crime, as she sets out to discover who truly killed the show's writer.

While Davidson certainly has a wealth of experience to pull from during her twenty plus years portraying characters on The Young and the Restless, Santa Barbara, Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful, she insists her story doesn’t reflect any specific individual or event from her real life.

You can pre-order the book, which comes out October 7, via Amazon.

The Young and the Restless Video: Jana and Kevin's Wedding

On Friday's The Young and the Restless, Jana and Kevin attempt to pull off a wedding replete with hope and promise after all the death and despair that followed Sabrina's death.

When their guests arrive at the ashram in Malibu, the guide hits them with the rules of the ashram, which include bans on meat, cell phones, and shoes. Jana and Kevin are excited, but Michael and Jeff would rather be anywhere else.

Jay Kenneth Johnson Dishes on Days of Our Lives Character

Jay Kenneth Johnson has been back on Days of Our Lives for over a year now.

Still, it's worth listening to what the actor had to say during an interview that followed his return.

When Philip first came back, there seemed to be much more of a dark side to him.
Jay Kenneth Johnson: In retrospect, I probably would've added a few more layers, but I was playing it as writ and I had a great time doing it. But I've said before I was going a hundred miles an hour every single day. That's still there, but I think Belle definitely brings out the softer side in him. I like the happy medium in between the two.

Jay Johnson

How has Philip changed since you were here before?
Jay Kenneth Johnson: I think he's grown up into more of a man. I think he's still got a lot of growing up to do. For lack of a better phrase, I think he was kind of a pushover. He was just getting walked on by Chloe and whomever else. I think that it was written that way but in all writing you have to find different layers and add that in yourself. Philip's changed and I've changed a lot as an actor. I might play that completely different now.
