Guiding Light fans haven’t seen too much of Robert Newman’s Josh for a few weeks. The actor simply says it’s a reflection of how the series is shooting current stories.

Speaking of them, how does Newman feel about his character and Reva getting back together? Soap Opera Weekly recently asked him this and other questions:

Soap Opera Weekly: Will the movie ultimately pull Josh and Reva back together?
Robert Newman: It’s the same thing we’ve done many times before, where something continues to bond Josh and Reva, whether they are interested in being bonded or not.

Soap Opera Weekly: Speaking of bonding, are Josh and Cassie connecting and getting over Cassie’s affair?
Robert Newman: That issue is one of those funny soap opera things that start, get dropped for a while and then get picked up again. Now, Josh and Cassie are trying to find some middle ground and start rebuilding their relationship.

Soap Opera Weekly: Will the marriage last?
Robert Newman: Josh loves Cassie. Everybody wants their marriage to work. Even when the marriage is at its worst, there’s still hope. Because Josh is a minister, he really wants to salvage the marriage.

After months of speculation, Soap Opera Network has learned that Josh Duhon’s last day as Logan Hayes will be Tuesday, July 8.

Duhon joined General Hospital in March 2007, portraying the eventual love interest of Lulu Spencer. It was soon revealed, of course, that Logan was the son of Scott Baldwin.

In November 2007, Logan’s airtime and his place in Lulu’s heart gradually decreased in favor of Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash), who became the new bad boy of Port Charles.

In a major twist of fate - General Hospital spoiler warning! - Logan will be killed off by Lulu when the two get into a fight over the truths of their lives.

TV Guide Canada caught up with new The Bold and the Beautiful star, Texas Battle, on the red carpet prior to last week’s Daytime Emmy Awards.

The actor said, “I have to admit when I found out Jennifer was my mom, it did blow my mind. But this is a soap.”

TV Guide: You’re a horror film prince — how does the soap world compare or contrast?
Texas Battle: Oh God, the scripts are the biggest challenge. We have so many lines to learn and we shoot a show in one day, sometimes two episodes in one day! In film we have more time, and more rehearsal. But B&B is a fun show.

TV Guide: Well, it’s certainly nice to see some colour on the soap — and he’s a Logan to boot!
Texas Battle: I know — Can a brother get some love, man? Don’t be surprised if we get more black characters on [The Bold and the Beautiful].

Christian LeBlanc recently sat down with Soap Opera Weekly to discuss his role on The Young and the Restless.

Here are excerpts from the interview:

Soap Opera Weekly: The Baldwin/Fishers truly are one of the most interesting families ever on soaps. Why do you think so?
Christian LeBlanc: Because it’s the most human. There’s a gray area there. Like most people, they’re capable of something really good and something really bad. It ain’t sweet and cute, which I love. Who wants that? People know that isn’t real life. People know that’s not how it is. You are never more vicious than you are to your family. You never are as despicable as when you’re dealing with brothers and sisters and mothers and fathers. The ones you love the most, you will attack the hardest.

Soap Opera Weekly: How did the family start to take shape?
Christian LeBlanc: Somebody saw Greg (Rikaart), when he first came on the show to harass Lily, and mentioned how much we looked alike. That’s how we got to be brothers.

A handful of stars from the The Young and the Restless will gather at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia On Saturday, July 12.

Chrishell Stause is set to host a dating show on Fuse TV. The series, reportedly, will hook up musicians with their biggest fans. It’s tentatively titled “Date a Musician.” Gotta give the network credit for being straightforward, if this name sticks.
