Brittany Allen Cast on All My Children

Look for a new face to soon appear in Pine Valley.

On April 21, Brittany Allen - who has appeared in shows such as the SOAPnet series MVP - will join the cast of All My Children.

The actress will take on the role of Marissa Tasker. She'll be introduced at her place of business, as Krystle tracks her down... and they both get arrested!

Daytime Emmy Awards Move to The CW

90210... Smallville... and soap operas?!?

Despite not exactly playing into its demographic, The CW will air this year's Daytime Emmy Awards.

For awhile, it seemed as though no network would take on the ceremony. But sources confirm that the August 31 event will, indeed, take place on the same channel that brings up Chuck, Blair and Serena.

Colin Egglesfield Lands Role on Melrose Place Remake

Colin Egglesfield was killed off All My Children in January.

But it hasn't taken long for the former Josh Madden to find work.

Egglesfield is the latest actor to join The CW’s Melrose Place remake. On the upcoming spin-off, he'll play Auggie, an avid surfer that works as a sous-chef at a restaurant.

Other members of the new Melrose Place cast include Michael Rady, Katie Cassidy, Ashlee Simpson and Jessica Lucas.

Sarah Glendening: Leaving As the World Turns

Sarah Glendening, who portrays Lucy Montgomery on As the World Turns, is leaving the show for the second time this year.

She'll tape her final episode on Thursday, April 2. Look for it to air later this spring.

The Pussycat Dolls to Perform on One Life to Live

The Pussycat Dolls are coming to daytime television.

The all-female group will perform on the May 13 episode of One Life to Live. They ladies will sing their version of Jai Ho from this year's Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire. The event will take place at the Llanview High Prom.

The Pussycat Dolls are currently on tour with Britney Spears.

Rebecca Budig to Guest Star on How I Met Your Mother

From a popular daytime drama to an award-winning primetime sitcom.

Coming off her second stint as Greenlee on All My Children, Rebecca Budig has nabbed a guest-starring role on CBS' How I Met Your Mother.

According to TV Guide, Budig will play Holly in one of this season's final episodes. The character is a new girlfriend of Ted's on the hit, hilarious series.

Clementine Ford - previously best known for her role on The L Word - is enjoying her time as Mac Browning on The Young and the Restless.

How did land the role? The actress recently told TV Guide Magazine how it came about:

I’ve known Greg Rikaart [who plays Kevin] for years and have a sneaking suspicion he had something to do with this. He’s been so helpful to me. He said, 'The great thing about soaps is that you can fumble one day and reinvent yourself the next.' And that’s good because, to be honest, I think I may have done some really bad acting the first week just trying to keep up. But I’m getting the swing of it now.

Robert Bogue and Mandy Bruno: Engaged!

A Guiding Light couple is set to tie the knot in real life.

Robert Bogue and Mandy Bruno, who portray Mallet and Marina on the daytime drama, have announced their engagement.

The couple will walk down the aisle in spring of 2010. In the February 17 edition of Soap Opera Digest, Bruno said of her fiance:

"One of the more special things about our relationship is that we've been such good friends for so long."
