Jeff Burton to Guest Star on General Hospital

NASCAR star Jeff Burton is coming to General Hospital.

The driver will portay himself in an upcoming March episode. Here's how this guest-starring stint will be set up:

Patrick is a huge NASCAR fan, as he'll meet the driver in a couple of scenes. In an interview on NASCAR.com, Burton said:

"I'm excited about going to the set of General Hospital and taking on a role with Jason Thompson. I've been in commercials and was a guest star on a sitcom a couple of years ago so I'm hoping those appearances prepped me for my soap-opera debut. Luckily, I get to play myself and talk racing, which will help take some of the pressure off."

Kassie DePaiva: Blair Has Come a Long Way!

In a new interview with TV Guide Canada, Kassie DePaiva talked about the evolution of her One Life to Live character.

Here's what the actress had to say abut Blair:

She’s come a long way! [Head writer] Ron [Carlivati] has a great grasp of Blair’s history. It’s nice to see that Blair has matured somewhat based on how she treats her children, stood up to Todd, and allowed John into her life. You know what? I’ve been playing this character for so long, so for me, it just seems like a natural progression. Ron was smart in not having Blair continue her relationship with Todd because it had become way too abusive.

Natalia Livingston: Back on General Hospital!

Natalia Livingston, General Hospital

Natalia Livingston is back on General Hospital, even if she is most definitely not playing Emily.

In this interview the actress behind Rebecca dishes to Soap Opera Weekly about what lured her back to daytime.

Why come back now?

Well, what lured me back was [head writer Robert Guza Jr. and executive producer Jill Farren Phelps] and a great storyline idea. Also, remembering the five years I had on the show previously, and how much I loved it.

What kind of feedback are you hearing from the fans so far?
Some fans have sent me messages saying that they really love Rebecca, that it's sort of a dream role for me; it's something really fun and different. They're really happy that I get to play that. It's been really good and positive.

All My Children Wedding Receives Mainstream Coverage

Bianca and Reese are officially married on All My Children.

But daytime's first-ever gay wedding didn't go off without a hitch from certain organizations.

As Eden Riegel - who portrays Bianca - told CNN: "When my character did first come out of the closet, there was a lot of negative reaction."

Reese and Bianca

Sadly, some of that has continued. Said Glenn Stanton, of the group Focus on the Family:

"I think it is really important to understand that there are a lot of things that people don't really want to see and don't want coming into their homes, and lesbian weddings are certainly one of them."

However, gay and lesbian groups hailed the televised wedding as a victory.

"It's reality," said Neil Giuliano, president of the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). "So when we see a lesbian couple getting married on daytime drama, it simply reflects what's happening in the real world."
