Following weeks of rumors, we can finally confirm that Thaao Penghlis is leaving Days of Our Lives.

Or the actor can confirm this news, at least.

On the guestbook page of his official website, here's what Penghlis recently wrote:

Must say my gratitude to all of you for all the support. Can't wait to write this chapter. At least I'm in good company and I did live through the best of DAYS. And what a great group of people who have been there to share it with me. Onwards and off to NY this Thursday for meetings. Changes are in the air.

Amanda Aardsma has landed a sought after role on The Young and the Restless.

The actress, who has appeared on episodes of Judging Amy and CSI, will debut in March as Katherine Chancellor's granddaughter.

Rebecca Budig complete her return to All My Children last week.

As Soap Opera Network reports, the actress has taped her final scenes as Greenlee Smythe. They're centered around the character taking off on a motorcycle, heading into a volatile situation.

Will Greenlee be killed off? The answer is murky.

Although she disappears during the week of February 16, sources close to All My Children reports that fans can expect one more sighting of Greenlee some time in March. What, exactly, does that mean?

This sad news is a month old, but it just came across our desk:

Clint Ritchie, who portrayed Clint Buchanan on One Life to Live from 1979 to 1998, died on January 31. He was 70.

According to RadarOnLine.com, the actor suffered a heart attack in late January and died 10 hours after being fitted with a pacemaker.

Jerry verDorn was recast as Clint in 2005.
