Just prior to midnight last night, Days of Our Lives actress Alison Sweeney gave birth to a girl, Megan Hope Sanov. She weighed six pounds, seven ounces.
"Both mommy and baby – and daddy, too – are doing well," said Sweeney's rep Carrie Simons. "It was a very easy delivery, and everybody is great."

How did Aiden Turner end up on All My Children?
During a recent interview, the actor detailed his rise to fame in the role of Aidan Devane.
“At the time I had just recently arrived from England. I was only here for four months, got an agent and went over to see Judy Wilson," he said. "They didn’t give me the first role that I auditioned for, but they got me back to do a screen test and wanted to create a role for me. It was a great compliment.”
As for the character itself, Turner is a major fan of Devane's background and training.
“The other week, I got to play with a MAC-10. They sent me to gun training for it for an hour and a half. I shot it about four times, and I offed 30 rounds each time; it’s a powerful machine gun. I got to use it on set, with blanks, of course.
That’s my character, and I love that. I think it’s cool, and it makes me feel tough. When I get home, I feel like soggy lettuce compared with Aidan Devane.”
What began as a 10-episode storyline as a bitchy stylist transformed into a solid contract character for Elizabeth Hendrickson on The Young and the Restless.
The actress talked about the show and the role of Chloe with Soap Opera Weekly recently:
Soap Opera Weekly: Have you had a hand in Chloe's development?
Elizabeth Hendrickson: The character was written as a stylist who was coming in. I was the one who wanted to make her edgy and funny. Most of the people I know who are in the fashion business are a little bitchy. I wanted to make Chloe interesting, instead of just playing her like some girl who was putting on fancy clothes. There was no conflict there. The writers definitely gave me that in the writing, and I tweaked it a little. They seemed to enjoy it. Each day, Chloe kept getting funnier and bitchier.
