Prepare for Nathan Parsons, General Hospital fans.

The actor will make his soap opera debut the week of January 26.

As TV Guide reports, Parsons will portray the recurring role of Ethan. He'll interact specifically with Anthony Geary (Luke), as the pair bond at an out-of-town bar.

There, a friendship slowly forms, as a Luke begrudgingly realizes that he and this youngster have more in common than he might want to think.

This week, on Days of Our Lives...

Sami doesn't want EJ's baby. But Nicole does. As a result, Nicole finds out where Sami is and takes it from there.

"Nicole's sole goal is getting a child [to pass off as EJ's]. She will do anything to keep him and his love," Arianne Zuker (Nicole) said to Soap Opera Weekly.

Following seven years as a recurring player on One Life to Live, Edward Alderson (who portrays Matthew Buchanan) has finally been placed on contract.

The 14-year-old actor's new status with the series coincides with a major storyline planned for his on-screen alter ego; the show has already cast several roles that will be key for the upcoming angle.

In addition to his work on One Life to Live, Alderson appeared as Sanford Clark in last year's Clint Eastwood-directed drama, Changeling.
