Arianne Zuker: Loving Life on Days of Our Lives!

Arianne Zuker is sitting atop the world of daytime dramas.

The Days of Our Lives star recently spoke on her acting experience with Michael Fairman. A couple excerpts from the interview:

Michael Fairman: You are so heavy in story on Days of Our Lives right now, and currently the most compelling actress and, in the most compelling story on the show. Are you enjoying carrying the main storyline?
Arianne Zuker: Yeah. I love my job and love the storyline right now. It’s definitely meaty. I am always usually the sidekick, but now I have hearty storyline, and I appreciate it very much.

Arianne Zuker plays a vital role on Days of Our Lives.

Michael Fairman: So much has been written about you from all of us covering the soap genre, that you have really been amazing and risen to the top of the soap actors on TV.
Arianne Zuker: It’s a team effort. When I came back to the show, I came back a bit of a different actress. I would like to give the writers credit, that they allowed me to take the storyline to a different place, as well. I could not do it by myself.

Christian LeBlanc: Proud to be 50!

Christian LeBlanc turned 50 six months ago.

But The Young and the Restless star isn't shy, or ashamed, about his age.

Here's what he had to say about it to Soap Oprea Weekly:

Soap Opera Digest: Why be honest about your age?
Christian LeBlanc: You can't hide it these days. If there wasn't Google, maybe I would feel differently [laughs]. I should say I'm 60 so that people would think I look fabulous for my age. I'm not beyond a compliment. I'm a big genealogist and I have had women in my family who shaved 10,12, 15 years off their age and got away with it. All the way back to the Civil War I can find records where they lied to the censor takers. I inherited that legacy but I broke that vicious cycle [laughs].

Christian LeBlanc Shirtless

Digest: You seem really at peace with growing older.
LeBlanc: Listen, I'm not fighting the battle of 20 or 30 year old actors anymore. I don't want the roles they would get. There's a certain ageism about working in any aspect of this industry but me feeding into that won't make it better. I want to be the age I am. I want to be hired because "My God, he's too good to pass by." Everything else is going to disappear eventually no matter how hard you hold onto it.

Alison Sweeney Blogs About Pregnancy

Alison Sweeney is a mother for the second time.

On her official NBC blog, the Days of Our Lives star wrote about giving birth to daughter Megan:

There is SO much to say… I don’t know where to begin. First of all, yes, I had to go right to the hospital after shooting a weigh-in at Biggest Loser. So, I arrived not having eaten lunch, or anything. And Megan was born that night! At one point the Dr thought things were moving slowly, and it might not be until 4 or 5am.

Days of Our Lives Actress

So I sent my restless husband off with his friend for a bite to eat (I certainly didn’t want them eating in front of me since I wasn’t allowed any food – which I didn’t know until it was too late. Take note! Eat beforehand!) And then seriously, he couldn’t have been gone 10 minutes, my girlfriend and I were chatting away, and everything happened all at once. (euphemism intended for all squirmy people.) Next thing I know, my friend is texting dave – hurry back!!!

And the Dr is saying DON’T DO ANYTHING, do breathe too hard, till he gets back. And once he returned, scrubbed in, it wasn’t more than 15 minutes later she was born. She did not want to be born on the 13th! Lol. Which apparently was a bet between Dave and his buddy.

Claire Coffee: Leaving General Hospital

GClaire Coffee has confirmed a rumor rampant around the Internet: she's leaving the role of Nadine on General Hospital.

Coffee posted the following on her Official Message Board:

Hi Everyone!
It's been a while since I've stopped by... I sort of figured this was coming, but wanted to be absolutely certain until I relayed the news. I have been taken off contract, effective February 8. It's a mutual decision; I completely understand the stresses of the producers and writers and the Nadine storyline seemed to coming to a close.

I won't be exploding in a ball of hospital flames, but you probably won't see me much around the hospital, either. Tough times in the economy, Port Charles included! Jill Phelps has been incredibly supportive and I have nothing but respect and reverence for my time at GH. Thank YOU ALL for your support.
Signing off, Claire
