Rick Hearst Speaks on General Hospital Character, Developments

Rick Hearst stars on General Hospital as the character of Ric.

He recently spoke to Soap Opera Weekly about ongoing story lines and developments. Here are highlights from the interview:

Soap Opera Weekly: Ric knows Claudia is just manipulating him, right?
Rick Hearst: Yeah. It's not a big reach. It's not that he's got the wool pulled over his eyes about who Claudia is. That's actually kind of what attracted him to her — the fact that she knows the game that's played. She's dangling that carrot of "You want me? You want certain things from me? You're going to go do this for me."

Weekly: Is Ric still feeling the rivalry with his father?
Hearst: Yeah. He's definitely his father's rival, but Ric is mostly about making his own mark. Interestingly enough, he's making his mark within a family that's not really his family. Or maybe it could be someday — who knows?

Outstanding Supporting Actor

Rick Hearst won a Daytime Emmy for his role on General Hospital.

An Extensive Interview with Eric Braeden

Eric Braeden is a busy man.

But The Young and the Restless star found time to chat about a variety of topics with TV Guide Canada. Here are excerpts from the interview:

On Amelia Heinle as Victoria:
“I agree with you that I often sometimes wonder how Heather would play certain aspects of this storyline in which Victor banished his family, but Amelia has done a fine job. She’s a different Victoria, but I enjoy her interpretation. Heather and I talk all the time. What a smart, smart girl! I miss her, for sure.”

Soap Opera Stalwart

Eric Braeden is a mainstay on The Young and the Restless.

On the U.S. Presidential election:
“Hillary Clinton was by far the most capable of them all and the best candidate of them all. However, her downfall was ironically due to her husband, Bill Clinton. In order to right his wrongs, he wanted to give her the presidency, which was a romantic and beautiful gesture, but alas, that’s what led to her downfall and failure. You see, as a woman, she couldn’t have a man pull the strings. That worked against her. It’s a tragedy. Shakespearean even. Of course, I will be voting for Barack Obama."

Still, we didn't know everything there was to know about this young actor. Do you?

Consider these tibits:

  • He's an avid swimmer.
  • Is a founding member and playwright for The Groundwork Ensemble theater group.
  • Graduated from UCLA in three years.
  • A former CIF (California Interscholastic Federation) Championship water polo player in high school.

A Groundbreaking Proposal on All My Children

Prepare for a groundbreaking event tomorrow on All My Children:

Reese proposes to Bianca!

"There is a ring that they found in Milan," Tamara Braun (who portrays Reese) told Soap Opera Weekly.

As for the location of the wedding? Erica better start planning a destination wedding. California or Massachusetts makes the most sense, right?
