Jamia Simone Nash started singing at age two.

Eventually, Nash's interest in entertainment expanded to acting, as she enjoyed guest spots on shows such as Half & Half, 7th Heaven, My Wife and Kids. She played a young Fantasia in Life Is Not a Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story.

Here are excerpts from an interview with the young singer, as she talks about her latest gig as Devon's (Bryton) cousin Ana on The Young and the Restless...

First day on the set…
"I have worked on many shows so the experience wasn't new to me but it was a very new cast for me to work with. Mr. Bryton and Miss Eva [Marcille] greeted me and then I met the rest of the cast on the set and they were all very nice."

How did you feel when you heard you were going to be on the show?
"I was very excited."

This was your first experience on a soap. What was it like?
"It is very different from working on primetime and movies because you have to wake up very, very early and be on the set. The pace is much quicker."

Did you know anything about Kristoff St. John or Bryton were before you appeared on the show?
"No, I have never watched the show before but now that I am on the show I am getting more familiar with them.

Robin has a few surprises in store for her.  Her baby daddy becomes the Chief of Staff and her dad returns with amnesia after a plane accident.  Not to mention, the love of her life's brother returns to town with a son named after the late Stone Cates.  What else is in store for our girl Robin?  A sibling!  Well, if the RUMORS are true, Robin might be getting a little sister.

Patrick with another woman? Looks like Dr. Drake is chatting up a very pretty lady.

Epiphany and Touissant? Rumors say we may get that romance this season.

A couple of corrections to recently-posted stories:

• Beth Ehlers's All My Children alter ego - originally named Taylor McBride - will now be named Taylor Thompson. The actress makes her first Pine Valley appearance on July 24.

• Contrary to previous reports, Michelle Ray Smith has not been fired from Guiding Light. The actress is on maternity leave, saying that she's "taking time to be a Mama." Don't count out an eventual return for Smith.

Once a murderer always a murderer.

This is what it seems like, at least, when it comes to David on The Young and the Restless.

"If David killed once, he will kill again," Doug Davidson (pictured) said to Soap Opera Weekly.

Will Paul manage to keep Nikki from sipping David's morphine cocktail this week on The Young and the Restless? Guess we'll have to tune in and find out!

Caitlin Van Zandt was a keynote speaker at "The Walk from Obesity - Walk on the Capitol" national obesity event held in Washington, D.C., on June 17.

The Guiding Light star spoke in front of an audience of thousands, regaling them with the challenges faced by 93 million overweight Americans. Including herself.

"I'm honored to share with you my personal journey with weight and weight loss," Van Zandt said at the podium. "My hope is that by sharing with you my story today, I can in some way raise further awareness of the impact of obesity, a disease that not only affects one's health, but also one's quality of life."

Speaking out for obesity awareness is personal for Van Zandt. She spoke about the conflicts between loving yourself as you are, while also being mindful of the health risks and self esteem ramifications of obesity.

"My goal is to be healthy and happy," Van Zandt said. "By participating in this event, I want to help others understand the physical and emotional impact of this disease and to give people hope that their lives do not need to be compromised by obesity."

We already knew that Alison Sweeney was pregnant.

But it's now been announced that the Days of Our Lives star is expecting a girl. Exciting news!

"The whole experience of having a little girl, I'd love that," Sweeney told People last month.

Her wish has come true, as Sweeney told Entertainment Tonight that her daughter is expected to arrive in January.

"I am feeling fantastic," she said. "I have moments of extreme morning sickness, but I get through it. Hopefully, I will be past it soon."
