Joseph Mascolo: Out on Days of Our Lives
It's sad, but true:
Joseph Mascolo is out of Days of Our Lives.
"Stefano is still in a coma and that's where he will remain for now," a show spokesperson told Soap Opera Digest.
As one might assume, the actor who has played the DiMera patriarch for over 25 years is not pleased with this development. He recently said, quite candidly:
"I'm just so disappointed in them."
How do you feel about the ousting of Mascolo on Days of Our Lives?

I am extremely disappointed. Joseph Mascolo is an awesome actor and Stefano is one of my favorite characters and villians. I love Marlena and Stefano because the characters have such an interesting and rich history and the actors have good chemistry with each other on screen.
It also seems ridiculous to make John Black a DiMera and then not even address it with Stefano. They had so many awesome and interesting storyline possibilities and potential yet they are not utilizing or expanding upon them. The only three reasons I watch Days of Our Lives is for Marlena, Stefano, and the chemistry between Marlena and either Stefano or John.
If they possibly can they should get Mr. Mascolo back and get him involved in an exciting storyline with John and Marlena.
