I have to say I agree with everyone else. I was a loyal fan of the guilding light. Now that Gus is gone. I will know longer watch it. So long Gus and So long Guilding Light.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon.I've been watching since 1982 when I fell in love with Josh and Reva. You've ruined that relationship more than once, and now especially with Cassie. Harley and Gus were awesome together. You ruined it first by bringing in Natalia and now you kill him off? The new format is very hard to watch - reminds me of the Blair Witch film quality. Please get back on track - don't let the longest running soap die a slow painful death.

I'm not a weirdo chick who gets all into this type of scene too much, but Gus was the best thing since sliced bread! Where ever he goes, I will follow. I loved Gus and Harley together. I am shocked they killed him off too. Maybe he will go on to bigger and better. Others have moved along to big movie careers after soaps. I have watched GL since the late 70s and loved Phillip and Beth together and Morgan and Kelly. I agree with many of the posts on Josh and Reva too. Some marriages do stay together.

I can't believe Gus has left the show. I didn't even see this coming. I really thought Olivia was finely getting what was coming to her. She doesn't deserve Gus's heart. She's always been a home wrecker. You (GL) alway seem to keep the actors that don't really have a good story line. Rick, Beth, Cassie (boring). I didn't mind Tammy dieing off but I miss Jonathan. Just keep in mind the story lines you are killing when you let the good ones go.

So sorry Gus (Ricky Paull) has left the show. This just sucks. Definitely not a good move for GL. Wish they had gotten rid of that Olivia character instead. I can't stand her. Why couldn't they had given Ricky Paull what he wanted in his contract? Extremely disappointed with the GL producers/network.

I also agree that yes it is terrible that Gus and Harley will never be together again. They were an amazing couple. But to everyone that is only watching because of Gus... Guiding Light will go on. Someone new will come along and things will get better. This soap is always changing and i have watched it for 12 years and will not stop over one character. He will be missed along with Laura Wright when she was replaced and Johnathon (I would love to see him return for good). But I will stay loyal to all of the great characters that we do have left.

My heart grieves along with the characters on Guiding Light. I can not believe that the writers at GL would destroy such a wonderful couple like Gus and Harley. As all the other comments said they were the reason I watch the show. Please writers at Gl bring Gus back. Maybe we should all send many, many, letters to the writers, and maybe they would reconsider. I will miss Gus so much.

I think that GL is letting these talented actors go in an attempt to higher less expensive actors. Trying to save money this way is not going to work if you sink the ship in the process. You need these actors to keep GL viewers. Gus leaving was a terrible move. Killing him off was a diaster. I watched mostly because of Gus. Bad move. Cut costs another way.

I was truly devastated when Ricky Paull Goldin (GUS) departed from Guilding Light. I cried a river. Please stop this madness. It is as simple as supply and demand. We demand TPTB supply us with the talented and charismatic Ricky Goldin. The writers must resurrect Gus, pay Ricky what he wants and lets get GL back to the place it belongs, tied with the Young and the Restless. Until you all do right by Gus and Harley I will watch my tapes of Gus' death, I will watch videos of Gus and Harley on youtube and I will take my nap during GL before I go to work.

I agree with Tera that they should resurrect Gus--I am sure that they could and the fans would be thrilled. They could always turn the episodes that Gus was in a coma after the accident and all of this was a nightmare. When Gus awakens, he could learn that Olivia got the heart from somewhere else and the whole thing could have been to show both Gus and Harley that they belong together. Or, somehow Natali could have had this horrible dream because she was the reason Olivia missed out on the first heart. I am sure the writers could work out the details as long as Gus was alive and well on GL.

I've watched since the 80's with my grandmother - I fell in love with Josh and Reva - then the big Cassie thing (still can't get used to that). But Harley and Gus are perfect and Daisey really messed that up!!!! Well I don't know who to watch for now. I guess I'll have to watch Gus on another channel. How sad!!!! They fought for Reva to stay I don't know why they didn't do the same for Gus. Harley and Gus - the PERFECT couple - at home and at work!!!! Bring him back!!!!!!!!!

I really liked Gus. He was a great actor and was a great assest to GL. However, I feel that some of the people leaving comments need to remember that Gus was not the only person on the show. Please give your loyalty (that is due) to the other actors on the show. People are always going to come and go. I'm sure the show will find many others who are just as good and create future characters. STAY TUNED!

I am very upset at the break up fo Gus and Harley, and I could not stop crying about the death of Gus and what his freindsand family all went though. It was a tremendous loss to them and even more so to your fans. How could not have persuaded Ricky to stay on with more sarlary and maybe even more contract control to get back to the role playing he might would have preferred. this is the biggest loss for Guiding Light and its fans ever and I hope you can retify the situation before you loose to many viewers. I have been a GL fan for over 27 years!

Gus and Harley were great! Tradgedy stuck! First they split up, then Oh my Gosh he goes and marries his old girlfreind! The past should have been in the past! To make matters worse Gus is no longer on the show! What happened?
Why did he decide to leave? Now the show just drifts and everybody is sad. All this takes away from the show greatly. If the show doesn't pick up and the characters aren't so dreary and distracted as they are now, I may sadly drop my favorite T.V. show after 25 years.

Gus was a cop he was on cases they could bring him back without a problem perhaps he was undercover and Harley would stay perhaps she finds him in Greece while shes there and now he's recovered. Something... anything.
I miss them they were great together. I Loved Johnathan too. I dislike the new Cassy and would give anything to see the old one back. She was terrific, perhaps team her with the one that Reva is living with now. Since they have a history together. We need to see Josh and Reva back together and Diana and Mallet and Billy and Lizzy. I can see great things for the Guiding Light in the ratings if they would consider what the public wants. BUT... if they don't (Gus) Ricky I wish you the very best in your career you gave us some of your best years. Hope you come back. Olivia heart was really the first heart because it helped cover up Gus's death. It could work... Guiding Light... Please work your magic. Give us some reason to stay.
