The ladies love Cameron Mathison. But one lady in particular loves this All My Children star: Vanessa Mathison.

The lovely clothing designer recently talked to Celebrity Baby Blog about what it's been like to be married to such a busy man:

[Cameron] finished "Dancing With the Stars" and he also hosted "So You Wanna Be a Soap Star," and those require him to go out to Los Angeles. And that really does require a bit of maneuvering of the family. What we've been doing is, we've been pulling Lucas from school for when [Cameron] hosts "So You Wanna be a Soap Star."

And for "Dancing With the Stars," that was brutal! Because it was so long, it was three months, we kept the family here and I went to Los Angeles every week for the Monday night show. So I would fly out on Sunday night, go to the show on Monday and then be on the red eye Monday night to get back to the city.

And I did that pretty much every single week.

A columnist at soap opera critic Marlena Da Lacroix 's website thinks As the World Turns has grown eerily dark:

Warning: The Young and the Restless spoilers ahead!

On February 11, the series will bring back Signy Coleman (pictured) as blind heroine Hope Adams. However, TV Guide reports that after just a week, the character will die on screen from pancreatic cancer.

"It's welcome back, now get the hell out of here!" says Coleman, who got the call to return while shopping in a New Jersey mall. "I was thrilled they want me to play Hope again, but so heartbroken they're killing her off that I just stood there crying in the middle of Barnes & Noble. She's the best character ever. But I'm also very grateful. They allowed me to bring her in, and they're allowing me to take her out."

Don't worry: there is a big upside to this sad event. Hope's son, Vic, to be played by Chris Engen, doesn't know he's the spawn of Genoa City megalomaniac Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

"Hope's last wish is that her son connect with his father," Coleman says. "It's going to be dynamite."

Meanwhile: The show's younger set will also get a boost from Elizabeth Hendrickson, who was a sensation as All My Children's Maggie. The actress joined the series yesterday as Chloe, who she describes as a "funky, edgy fashion coordinator. She controls the Fresh Face of Jabot photo shoots — and she's not a very good influence."

High-flying Chloe will get hold of contest winner Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and expose her to a world of upscale parties, drugs and weight obsession to the point where the kid starts to lose her identity and her soul.

"I'm always playing the girl next door," Hendrickson says. "I want to be evil!"

Beth Chamberlin is glad that her character on Guiding Light is no longer pregnant. That's because the actress herself is psyched to show off her body.

"I've been doing this workout that has my body in the best shape I've ever been in my entire life," Chamberlin told Soap Opera Digest. "The drag of the pregnancy suit is, I finally have the abs I've always wanted and I have them covered by a big belly! This past summer I looked better in a bikini than I did when I was in my 20s."

Chamberlin developed a weight-oriented workout to help sculpt her body. In fact, she has so much confidence in the routine that she's hoping to release an exercise DVD based on it.

"I'm pretty excited about it," said Chamberlin. "I believe that this is the answer that women have been looking for. And men, too! My husband does the same workout, just with a heavier weight than I do."

Chamberlin plans to release the workout DVD in March.

Lesley-Anne Down recently talked to Soap Opera Weekly about her character of Jackie on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Soap Opera Weekly: Wasn't it was great to have Jackie take over Spectra, giving her another stab at her professional dreams?
Lesley-Anne Down: It's been quite fun, hasn't it? It was a nice surprise.

Weekly: Jackie's bathtub press conferences have been a real hoot. Were those fun to shoot?
Down: They're kind of...dangerous (laughs), because they always shoot them at the end of the day. I don't know about you, but I think baths are meant to make you relaxed — have a nice hot bath, get into your pajamas, get into bed.

You're not supposed to have a nice hot bath, get into your clothes, get into your car and then spend an hour and 15 minutes driving. I have to wind my windows down, slap myself in the face, just to keep awake.

Thanks to a bit of last-minute contract negotiating with As the World Turns, Trent Dawson (Henry) has inked a deal to stick around.

"Thank you guys for the campaigning! Contract issues were resolved and Hank is sticking around. In fact he's very busy right now. Consider your mission accomplished, and my thanks eternal," the actor wrote to fans online.

Walt Willey will host the 2008 U.S. Beauties National Pageant Finals on Sunday March 16.

Even though he won't judge the contestants, the All My Children star will be asking them questions throughout the event, meaning he'll be partly responsible for how the judges rate the contestants.

This isn't the first time Willey has signed on for a hosting gig. He also co-hosted the 20th Daytime Emmy Awards with Susan Lucci.

We've received a follow-up on the passing last week of former General Hospital star Shell Kepler.

The actress, who was best for her role as Nurse Amy Vining, passed away on February 1 after being admitted to the hospital at Oregon Health & Science University on the same day. Reportedly, the 49-year-old succumbed to renal failure, during which the kidney fails to function adequately.

"She was a sweet woman with a big heart. She couldn't have been lovelier to me and was very welcoming when I joined General Hospital," said former co-star Nancy Lee Grahn.

Kepler joined General Hospital in 1979, taking over her role from Cari Ann Warder, who portrayed the character in 1975. She starred on the drama for more than two decades.

Because All My Children can never have enough hunks...

Maksim Chmerkovskiy, the swoon-inducing professional on Dancing with the Stars, will guest star on the February 26 episode of the show. The opportunity will enable Chmerkovskiy to be reunited with season five contestant Cameron Mathison.

Don't read any further if you wished to be spared the All My Children Spoiler that reveals Maksim's role on the series:

At the bequest of Greenlee, Chmerkovskiy (playing himself) will teach pole-dancing to the women of Fusion. Enter Mathison's Ryan, who, ABC teases, "will get inspired seeing the Fusion women dancing the pole."

Does this mean we may get to see Cameron Mathison naked, stripped and letting loose??? A viewer can dream, can't he?
