Ian Buchanan: Returning to The Bold and the Beautiful

Here's an exciting The Bold and the Beautiful spoiler:

The actor returns to his Emmy-winning role as Warwick on January 28 for a short-term stint that has him helping the troubled Taylor (Hunter Tylo).

"By the time I arrive, she's hitting the sauce pretty bad and having hallucinations," said Buchanan, who hopes a cure doesn't come too quickly, considering how writers' strike is crippling prime time.

"I feel like changing the dialogue to say, 'Gee, Taylor's in worse shape than I thought. This could take me a year.'"

Van Hansis Updates His Blog

Van Hansis has updated official blog at the official As the World Turns website. Here are highlights from it:

So I was going to start this blog like I feel I've started every blog within the last six months; by apologizing for how few and far between my blogs are. But then I was like, screw it. It's the New Year! I will blog when I want to blog! Quality, not quantity, right?

These last few months have been really amazing for me. Tonight I finished my run of Charles Busch's "Die Mommie Die!" at New World Stages here in New York City. This is my first long running theater job ever (110 performances- I only called out once!) I got my equity card, and I sort of, as actorish as it may sound, rediscovered my roots. I remember when I graduated school, I was all set on moving to Los Angeles instead of New York, I was going to sign with an agent in California.

I was in my hotel room in Los Angeles and Letterman came on. You know how when he goes to commercial, there are shots of the streets of New York? I saw that and I sort of knew that I couldn't live in Los Angeles without hitting up New York first. The next morning I called my parents and told them that I changed my mind - I wanted to go to New York; I wanted to do theater.

I signed a contract with an agency here in the city and I packed up and moved to lower Manhattan. I was going to get my start in theater! However, life doesn't happen the way you plan it. Instead I was a waiter for almost a year, then I was lucky enough to get As the World Turns.

As the whispers of Christopher's impending exit grew louder, fans feared that her character might be killed off by the show's Text Message Killer. She wasn't.

Moreover, Christopher was not fired; she chose to leabe During her nearly seven-year run on General Hospital, Christopher earned two Daytime Emmy nominations in 2003 and 2005 for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

Pamela Payton-Wright Dishes on Changes to One Life to Live Character

Pamela Payton-Wright Addie Cramer has spent the past 15 years at St. Ann's. That made is a huge shock for fans see her on Christmas Eve, seemingly normal and up-to-date with the latest fashion trends.

Actress Pamela Payton-Wright, who originated the One Life to Live character in the 1991, said she's still getting used to the sudden turn-around, as she's come back to the series on a recurring basis.

"I would say I've learned more in the past six weeks than I did in 15 years because it was like barnstorming, there was so much done,” Payton-Wright told Soap Opera Digest. “I'd say nine cases out of 10, I have my back to the camera — I don't know where the camera is. I don't understand it! Where is the audience?”

But don't take this for complaining from the star. The comeback has given her the opportunity to take on a more challenging, enjoyable task.

"I just love it,” she exclaimed. "It's just been a wonderful thing from the time I came. But this is really challenging and I love a challenge."

One of the perks of portraying a dramatically different Addie on One Life to Live is the broader wardrobe selection.

"Every day there's a new outfit that's outrageous,” Payton-Wright said. “She's got a list of more than 400 things that she wants to do and they're all sort of challenging, and she dresses the part. I'm a little bit like that myself."
