Celine Dion to Guest Star on All My Children

This just in from ABC:

"Grammy Award-winning superstar Celine Dion will be a guest star on All My Children on Wednesday, Nov. 21. The announcement was made today by Brian Frons, president, Daytime, Disney-ABC Television Group. He said:

Celine Dion represents another of today's top recording artists who are tapping into ABC's prime ratings position and garnering a presence with our daytime audience. This is the perfect blend of the power of music coupled with dramatic storytelling and enhancing the visibility of our brand across multi-platforms,' said Mr. Frons.

"Ms. Dion will appear as a featured guest on Erica Kane’s (Susan Lucci) talk show, 'New Beginnings,' and in addition will sing the title track from her new CD, Taking Chances."

Days of Our Lives Stars Adopt a Park

A handful of Days of Our Lives cast members participated in the Adopt a Park event at the North Hollywood Park on October 27.

As part of Days of Our Lives and NBC's effort to promote environmental awareness into their programming during "Green Week" (November 4 through November 10), many soap opera stars took time to plant trees and create environmental awareness for this "Green is Universal" initiative.

The Young and the Restless: Questions and Answers

Thanks to Soap Opera Digest for the following answers to questions from fans of The Young and the Restless:

Thad Luckinbill Picture Q: Has Jeanne Cooper (Katherine) starred on any other soaps?
A: Not exactly, but The Young and the Restless grande dame did a brief crossover to sister show The Bold and the Beautiful in 2005.

Q: Is Thad Luckinbill (J.T., pictured) related to actor Laurence Luckinbill, who was once wed to Lucille Ball's daughter, Lucie Arnaz?
A: Yes, the men are distant cousins. Laurence Luckinbill was also once wed to Robin Strasser (Dorian, One Life to Live), which makes Thad also related to Strasser and Luckinbill's sons, Nicholas and Benjamin.

Q: Is Darcy Rose Byrne, the little girl who plays Abby on The Young and the Restless, the child of Martha Byrne (Lily, As the World Turns)?
A: No. Darcy Rose Byrnes is not related to her. However, entertaining is in the little actress's blood. Her father, C.J. Byrnes, has appeared in many prime-time programs and movies, including Big Love and The Horse Whisperer; and her mother, Cathy D'Arcy, appeared in Twelve Monkeys and Hackers.

Walt Willey Speaks on Cameron Mathison, Dancing with the Stars

Soap Opera Digest caught up with Walt Willey after the performance of his All My Children co-star on Dancing with the Stars.

So, how did he think Cameron Mathison did after week six?

Q: What were your impressions of Cameron this week?
Walt Willey: I thought he was Captain John Smith on steroids. I told him the other day, "You are my hero. You are calming down and enjoying yourself." He's relaxed, and he looks great. I asked how much weight he's lost, and he said, "I've lost two pounds. I've driven all the water out of my body and made leaner muscle mass." He's pretty psyched about that.

Dancing, Week Six

Q: What did you think about the little headbands on his arms?
Willey: They were a little too Village People for me. But dancing with Disney Property was a really good idea. "Hey, you be Pocahontas!"

Q: What did you think of Cameron's boast at the end?
Willey: I think he is really sorry that he said "I'll take off my shirt if you vote me into the finals." I could see the regret fill his big wide eyes. I could see him thinking, "I can't believe I said I'll do this in a thong if I get to the finals because they'll make me do it. Why do I always do things like that?!"
