The following As the world Turns spoiler was taken from the show's message board, without a source cited, so take it with a grain of salt:
Look for the character of Simon Frasier (Paul Leyden, pictured) to reappear in late December. While bo official air date has been released, Simon is reportedly coming back to admit his wrongdoings and face the consequences of his actions.

From there, he won't be able to decide which woman he wants to be wit: Carly or Katie. But do they even want him back?

As a relative newcomer to General Hospital, Brandon Barash recently sat down with Soap Opera Weekly to discuss the experience. Here are a few excerpts from the chat:
Soap Opera Weekly: What's it like playing a loose canon like Johnny?
Brandon Barash: It's a lot of fun playing someone who's called crazy, but at the same time you can't judge Johnny as crazy. The fun part is trying to figure out why he does what he does, why he says what he says, why he snaps. What happened years ago in his childhood that makes certain things set him off at any given moment and makes him so dangerous?
Weekly: Did you like working opposite Bruce Weitz (Anthony Zacchara)?
Barash: It's a blast. It's not hard to act when he's on the stage with me. He gives it to me. Bruce is very playful and generous as an actor. It's been a pleasure working with him.
Weekly: Have you always wanted to act?
Barash: No, I had wanted to be a doctor, which is strange. When I started college I was in the BFA acting program, but also in pre-med. I was pre-med for almost two years. I wanted to be an orthopedic or cardiac surgeon my whole life. But late in my sophomore year I realized I only had time for one thing, and my passion to be an actor had become greater than my passion to be a doctor.
So I decided to take a risk. I guess I made the right choice.
Eric Braeden is the executive producer and star of the indie western The Man Who Came Back. With the filming of the movie complete, this stars hopes to have the it edited and rounded up by Christmas.
"I'm never someone to put the cart before the horse, but Im beginning to have a very good feeling about it," said The Young and the Restless actor, who went on to praise his co-stars.
"The cast was just wonderful. George Kennedy, Billy Zane, James Patrick Stewart (ex-Justin, All My Children), Armand Asante, Peter Jason, Sean Young and Jennifer O'Dell (ex-Lana, General Hospital) they are wonderful actors. But also wonderful to work with. There was a real camaraderie. They wanted to help out and I so appreciate what they did."
As he told Soap Opera Digest, Braeden has been locked in an editing room for six weeks now, ever since shooting wrapped.
"It's very tedious work, but it's also exciting," the actor said. "You see the movie in a microcosmic way and then you also have a bigger view of the overall picture. It assumes its own rhythm and you realize, 'That doesnt fit there. It would go better here,' or you take it out completely. It's an interesting process."
Of course, once editing is complete, Braeden will have to market the film still. But his solid fan base from The Young and the Restless should come in handy for that.
Might soap opera writers be the first to cross the picket lines of the Writers Guild of America?
Variety reports that a high-ranking writer-producer on The Young and the Restless has informed the WGA that he plans to go "financial core;" i.e. give up full membership in the guild and withhold the dues spent on political activities in order to continue writing during the strike.
Another source with knowledge of the situation added that two other scribes on The Young and the Restless will follow suit, while a writer on Days of Our Lives may also be considering crossing the picket line.
The WGA refused to comment on the rumors yesterday and there have been no reports of writers on primetime or latenight series picking up their pens.
Daytime, however, is different.
Ratings for most soap operas have been dropping for years, with several sudsers barely hanging on. NBC, for example, has made it clear that Days of Our Lives may not be renewed when its license agreement expires.
That's one reason why networks have been scrambling to make sure their soaps stay in production. After all, a long stretch of pre-emptions or repeats could prove fatal.
During the 1988 walkout, network and studio executives were enlisted to keep the daytime dramas fresh. There were also widespread reports of WGA scribes writing scripts at home and finding a way to get those scripts into producers' hands without physically crossing a picket line.
"You'd hear stories about scripts being dropped off behind a trash can or in an alley," a soap opera veteran said to Variety.
Still, the majority of soap scribes appear to be keeping their computers turned off.
Cameron Mathison really wanted to do well on Dancing with the Stars last night. You could feel it, as he promised: This is my week to bring home a 10!
It didn't work out quite so perfectly, however.
Dancing the Viennese waltz to Hedwigs Theme from the Harry Potter movies, the All My Children stud and Edyta Sliwinska started out strong. But Len wasnt wild about Camerons choice to bare his chest in a non-Latin routine and the three nines from judges were solid - but fell short of the soap opera hunks goal.
Next up was the Cha-Cha. This is when it went downhill for the couple.
Mathison struggled in the finesse department, as Carrie Anne said: You hit the lines and theyre beautiful. Its all the in-between moves you need to work on.
Len simply found it wooden and dancing by numbers.
When the set of eights were revealed, the disappointment showed on Camerons face. But he took some solace when the audience booed the judges and simply replied: "I thought I did alright.
So did we. But he's gonna need your vote to remain in the competition.
Peter Reckell has won six Soap Opera Digest awards.
The longtime daytime star has enjoyed a significant role in the past on As the World Turns, but he now makes his home on Days of Our Lives.
Here's more about the actor:
Cady McClain is leaving As the World Turns. She addresses the rumors for this departure in the next issue of Soap Opera Weekly.
Already, though, the publication is wondering is this signals a return to All My Children. We'll let you know as soon as we learn more.
