In the Soap Opera Spotlight: Katherine Kelly Lang

Katherine Kelly Lang Picture

Katherine Kelly Lang has seemingly been on The Bold and the Beautiful forever.

But does that mean you know every single fact about the beautiful actress? Find out by reviewing the following tidbits...

  • Lang was born Katherine Kelly Wegeman.
  • Her parents are Judith Lang, a movie and TV actress, and the late Keith Wegeman, an Olympic long-jump skier who portrayed the Jolly Green Giant in the memorable TV commercials during the 1960s and '70s.
  • Katherine's close friends (including cast and crew at The Bold and the Beautiful) call her Kelly.
  • Lang is one of the show's four original cast members (along with Susan Flannery, John McCook and Ronn Moss).
  • At the invitation of the Sheik of Qatar, Lang and her horse placed third in the International Desert Marathon in 1996.

Cameron Mathison Comments on Dancing with the Stars

Super Cameron! All My Children fans - heck, soap opera fans in general - should be proud of how Cameron Mathison has held up so far on Dancing with the Stars.

The actor somehow found time in his schedule to speak with Soap Opera Digest about the experience so far...

You look like you’re getting more comfortable on the dance floor. All 9s [this week]!
Mathison: How about that! Yes. I am. I feel like I’m getting a little bit better every week. And, you know, the scores have sort of shown that. But more importantly, I don’t want to sound corny, I’m having more fun out there. I think by doing that, the people that have supported me are having more fun watching.

That’s become my main thing. I want people watching to have fun. Even if it means I fall on my face, I still want to look like I’m having fun, because hopefully everybody watching is going to have more fun, too.

Is it true that Thorsten Kaye has been designing your costumes?
Mathison: Yes. I didn’t know this about [Thorsten Kaye], but he is very passionate about wardrobe design. This has been an excellent opportunity for him to really let his creativity go. Ballroom dancing is a great venue for him.

He loves sequins and spandex and rhinestones and tight pants. He’s capitalizing on all the things he loves to work with when he designs.

One Life to Live Spoilers: Characters Return

We haven't seen the last of Tonja Walker and Tuc Watkins.

The pair will to One Life to Live - as the unpredictable Alex Olanov and David Vickers - during the first week of November. Of course, Alex is one of the few people who knows David has Buchanan blood running through his veins, so we can only imagine what she might be up to.

Can't wait to tune in and find out!

Yikes! A Scary Guiding Light Spoiler

Prepare to be frightened, Guiding Light fans:

The soap opera has hired eight-year-old Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick, the scary little guy from last year's remake of The Omen (pictured here).

imgservlet.jpgHe pops up October 24 as Will, the adopted son of Cassie (Nicole Forester). The character was last seen in 2005 living with his birth father, Alonzo, in the principality of San Cristobel.

While Cassie thought this setup was best for Will, it turns out the kid has grown up totally withdrawn and, worse yet, has become best friends with Cassie's psychopathic ex-husband Edmund (David Andrew MacDonald), who also returns to the show this week.

Follow all that?

"Will comes to live with Cassie and it's evident there's something really wrong with the boy — especially when you cross him," says Guiding Light head writer Dave Kreizman. "He's not evil, he's not the devil's spawn, but he could be dangerous."

Gulp.

The Bold and the Beautiful Producer: Expect a Shocker

imgservlet.jpgAs Patrick Duffy returns to The Bold and the Beautiful as Stephen Logan, he's in for an interesting set of family dynamics. To say the least.

"The Logan clan is being horribly abused by Stephanie Forrester [Susan Flannery] and Donna wants her father to stir the pot," Brad Bell said to TV Guide.

Stephen has no idea that his eldest daughter, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), was recently raped or that sicko Stephanie had a hand in it. Therefore, expect fireworks.

"For years this family has been ashamed to be Logans," Bell said. "Now they're going to rise up proudly and combat this oppressive woman."

Can we safely assume it's Stephanie who takes the bullet? Bell is mum except to note: "It's a shocker."

The Young and the Restless Spoilers: A Look at November

We've already told you what kind of major The Young and the Restless episode is in store for tomorrow.

Now, let's take a look at the story lines on the horizon for next month...

  • Every parent's worst fear forces Nikki and Victor (Eric Braeden, pictured) to fight against each other when a tragic choice must be made.

Eric Braeden Pic

  • A surprise decision could spell freedom for Phyllis.
  • Everyone knew Jack had a motive to kill Ji Min - but is someone trying to frame Jack?
  • Will the chemistry between Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily be too hot to handle?

• Karen and Neil are falling for each other -- but can there ever be another woman for Neil now that he's lost Dru?

Ingo Rademacher: Hates Flying, Loves Home Improvements

Ingo Rademacher attend many fan events. But it's certainly not because he isn't thankful for the General Hospital followers out there.

The actual reason has a lot to do with the fact that this actor doesn't love flying. At all. He recently said:

"Not only am I a chicken when it comes to flying, I also really like my weekends and am a bit of a homebody. When I have heavy work weeks I need the weekend to unwind and recharge and also get my workouts in.”

Most of us can relate to that, can't we?

During this time away from the set, Rademacher is also into home renovation, focusing on improvements to his house on the North Shore of Oahu.

The house in progress “will not be totally finished for a few years. I worked very hard on it this summer for five weeks, laying tile, doing construction, drywall etc. I had some of the lanai [deck in Hawaiian] built.”
