We didn't see this one coming:

The character of Jake Maclaine is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful. Moreover, he'll be played by the same actor who originated the role: Todd McKee.

We haven't seen Jake since 1993. He's guest starred over the years on shows such as CSI and 7th Heaven.

Now, viewers can look forward to watching him again during the day, beginning on November 14.

Yesterday, we published pictures of two As the World Turns cast members showing their pseudo support for Heidi Montag of MTV's The Hills.

Below, fans of Kyle Lowder attended the same CosmoGIRL-sponsored event and depicted their love for this star of The Bold and the Beautiful in a different, fun way.

During a recent fan event in Boston sponsored by CosmoGIRL, a pair of As the World Turns actors showed their affected for Heidi Montag, star of the MTV reality series The Hills.

Then again, there's a very good chance Van Hansis and Michael Graziadei are just mocking the heck out of the spoiled cover girl. We certainly hope that's the case.

Here are a couple quick casting notes for episodes of The Young and the Restless this week:

• Victoria Recano, a correspondent on the syndicated entertainment news show The Insider, will play a reporter at the disaster site on today's episode.

• Robert Gossett appears as Incident Commander on Tuesday, October 23, Wednesday, October 24, Thursday, October 25 and Friday, October 26.

Mykel Shannon Jenkins has joined the cast of The Bold and the Beautiful in a contract role. He'll be portraying Charlie Baker, the son of Lt. Baker (Dan Martin).

Charlie has recently made detective rank within the police department and is introduced on canvas in the aftermath of Eric’s (John McCook) resurgence as owner of Forrester Creations and will be an integral part of  The Bold and the Beautiful’s hottest and most suspenseful story-arc of the year, according to the show's website.

Jenkins actually won the first season of I Wanna be a Soap Star, giving him something in common with this year's victor, Ashlee Holland.

Jenkins receives his big break as the host of New Orleans’ WB38 Kids’ Club, where he served as an on-air personality for more than four years, introducing kids and their parents to a world of knowledge.

The actor's first tape date was Tuesday, with  his first appearance on The Bold and the Beautiful scheduled for November 21.

As Nathaniel Marston sits in a Bellevue Hospital, the One Life to Live actor is yet to release a statement about his arrest.

However, the site's chief operator, Karen Neuman, had the following posted on Marston's official website:

"I would like to thank all the amazing people who have sent their support and well wishes to Nathaniel. I have spoken to him and passed on your kind thoughts, and please know that he was very, very appreciative of all the good will and support sent his way.

I hope you all understand that I have to respect his privacy and can't comment on the situation at this time. I'll keep you updated as much as I can as soon as I can, but until then I will continue to pass along your good wishes."

"She's grieving, dealing with the loss of John. It's extremely sad time for her. She will have a major story in December. Count on it."

Sami/Lucas/EJ
"Sami will enter a marriage of convenience with EJ, and Lucas (Bryan Dattilo, pictured) will have to trust that that's all it is. EJ is torn; he does care about Sami, but he is under his father's thumb. A very dramatic event occurs at the wedding."

Shawn/Belle/Philip/Chloe
"Chloe comes back right before Shawn and Belle's wedding and will realize what's going on between Philip and Belle (Martha Madison). Hope knows, too and there's a lot of pressure on Belle. Bo and hope are trying to keep Belle faithful to Shawn."

• The actor has released three music albums: Tonight, All Your Dreams and In Our Time.

• Starred as Jordan on All My Children in 2003.

• Cole went to Europe after his initial foray into acting failed. In Paris, he played guitar in bars and on the streets to make money, while also studying French.

• Attended Pepperdine University in Malibu with the intention of playing sports. But an arm injury took him away from baseball and introduced him to acting.
